Season 5 of The Twilight Zone brought us two episodes handing out poetic justice to the lead characters. In "A Short Drink from a Certain Fountain," an aging businessman drinks from a fountain of youth in order to satisfy his much younger, demanding wife. His plan backfires, leaving both of them to deal with life-altering consequences. In "Sounds and Silences," a toy boat manufacturing executive f...

In Fringe’s first season finale, Olivia notices a connection betw...

There are so many decisions to make when planning a Disney vacation, but choosing when to go may have the most impact on your trip. Ben and Erica are tackling the best month to visit the three major U.S. Disney destinations: Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Disney Cruise Line. Crowd levels, pricing, weather, offerings, and more are important factors in knowing which month makes the most sense fo...

We all love the many fantastic characters that Disney animation has created. Characters like Elsa, Woody, Simba, Maleficent, Gaston are all fun to watch and offer something special. But would you date one? It’s an interesting question. Sure Woody is an adorable doll, but his snarky attitude may be too much to handle on a first date. Jeremiah and Rachel put the names of many of these beloved charac...

Indiana Jones Adventure is one of the most beloved Disney rides in any of the parks. A classic, memorable, and thrilling ride. However, over the years, some things have changed on the ride, and as some more changes are sure to approach with it going through some refurbishment until sometime in Spring, Blake and JJ are here in this week’s episode to discuss the state of the ride right now, and prai...

All Aboard! Last month we set sail on the Disney Dream for our first EVER cruise! Darrell is very prone to motion sickness and Kari hates traveling, so how did the trip go? We opted for a cruise instead of a visit to the parks because we wanted a relaxing vacation where we could unwind and not have to worry about going from place to place.  We've heard others talk about how great cruises are, but...

"Perchance to Dream" and "Twenty Two" are known for their psychological horror and explore the idea of being trapped in a nightmare or a dream that is indistinguishable from reality. They also examine the relationship between the mind, the subconscious, and the external world, as well as the idea that our dreams may hold hidden meanings and truths about our lives. The post Am I Dreaming appeared f...

We take a quick break from the Cortexiphan story to discuss a vampire… sort of. This vampire is engineered by science and must feed on spinal fluid rather than blood. (That’s Fringe for you!) Dive into our discussion of this myth-alone episode which features a standalone story with some loose threads to the overarching mythology. We discuss our memories of this episode and how, for some reason, we...

Join us as we discuss one of the best episodes of Fringe’s first season, the second episode of the show that dives into Olivia’s past as a Cortexiphan subject. We discuss our thoughts about the connection that Olivia shares with Nick Lane...

Over time, Disney has changed the way we look at theme park food. They offer varied and well-crafted options, with a range of dishes that are prepared with care and attention to detail. They put quality higher on the list than other parks, making the experience more pleasant. Most of the time a Disney restaurant will offer different dietary preferences and allergies. Those efforts have made Disney...

With the new year finally beginning, we have a lot to look forward to from Disney, but Disney is constantly releasing new stuff, and a lot of it, so how can you be sure what noteworthy content is coming? Well, that’s exactly what this episode is for. This week, Blake & JJ tackle everything noteworthy coming from Disney in 2023, from anniversary celebrations and new park attractions, to new mo...

The world is full of big talkers, and not even the Twilight Zone can escape them. In season 2 Rod Serling wrote "The Silence" about two rich men who square off in an expensive bet, just so one of the men can be freed from the incessant talking of the other. In season 3 the Zone served up "Hocus-Pocus and Frisby," a story about a country bumpkin that can spin yarns unlike anyone else. He's abducted...

Get ready as we unleash our discussion of this episode of Fringe! We both agree that, despite its dubious science, this is a decent stand-alone episode, and we, as always, think back to our thoughts when we first saw it and whether or not we feel any differently now. We talk a lot about the character development and growth that we see from Walter and discuss whether his heroic act at the end is tr...

All these topics plus a load of Disney news on this week's holiday themed episode of Mouse House Weekly! The post Disney...

Get in touch with your inner Observer child this week as we discuss this exciting episode of Fringe! We reflect back on our initial thoughts when we first watched this episode, including wondering whether or not the Child (also known at the time, by us at least, as CBK) was an Observer and what that implied if so, if Olivia disliked yellow M&Ms because they reminded her of Cotexiphan, what th...

We have eagerly been waiting to discuss "Ability" for months because it’s that good, undoubtedly one of the best episodes of Fringe’s first season if not the best. There is just so much to unpack here, and so much of the show’s overarching mythology is brought to light here in this episode, including the Cortexiphan trials, the existence of parallel universes, and the inevitable war between the Bl...

After many years of licensing and streaming rights, the 2008 cartoon series The Spectacular Spider-Man, is not only available to stream on Netflix, but also on Disney+. So in this week’s episode, Blake and JJ are talking about the first season of arguably the be...

Hollywood legends Dennis Weaver and Robert Duvall each made trips into The Twilight Zone. In the season 2 episode, "Shadow Play," Dennis Weaver portrayed Adam Grant, a man stuck in a dream where he is convicted to die over and over again in the electric chair. In season 4, Robert Duvall starred in, "Miniature," a story where Charley Parkes falls in love with a woman from a museum display. Each of...
