We can expect temptation and suffering, because we live in a sin-cursed desert. But we don't fight alone. We go into the wilderness, but Jesus is already there.

The church begins Lent with Ash Wednesday, and the placing of ash crosses on forheads. The ashes not only remind us of our death, but of our new life in Christ though baptism.

Faith needs an object. What is our faith in? in Jesus, and what His life and death mean for us.

God's Word is unlike our word. our words can only describe. God's can create. His Word gives life. His Word has power.

Jeremiah offers a beautiful picture of God's grace, which He had even before we were born. Grace is not deserved, but a gift.

Will God never let anything bad happen to you? What did God promise when He had Isaiah write "when you cross through the waters, they will not sweep you away"? Today's sermon is a lesson on trust.
