What Evidence Do I Have That God Cares When I Am Overwhelmed? Judges 7:9-25 1. God compassionately encourages my faith when I am fearful. vs 9-14 2. God gives me wisdom to use the limited resources available. vs 15-22 3. God gives additional resources when needed. vs 23-25

God Often Calls Me to Live by Faith with Limited Resources Judges 7:1-8 1. God wants new faith stories for me. vs 1-2 2. God knows resources can be distracting to me. vs 3 3. God wants me to be clear it is His victory. vs 4-8

God’s Mercy Helps Me to Obey Him Judges 6:33-40 1. God’s Spirit gives me confidence to obey. vs 33-35 2. God demonstrates mercy even when I am fearful to obey. vs 36-40

Will God Take Care of Me When I Act by Faith? Judges 6:25-32 1. Faith calls me to obey God’s simple instructions. vs 25-26 2. Faith requires me to act even when fearful of the consequences. vs 27 3. God can take care of my biggest fears. vs 28-32

How Can I Be Confident That This Is God Working? Judges 6:14-24 1. My resource limit does not limit God. vs 14-16 2. God accommodates opportunities to build faith. vs 17-21 3. Worship is a correct response to God’s mercy. vs 22-24

Why Should I Listen to God? Isaiah 48:12-22 1. I should listen to God because He is Lord of Creation. vs 12-13 2. I should listen to God because He has revealed His plans. vs 14-16 3. I should listen to God because His plans are for my benefit. vs 17-21 4. I should listen to God because His blessings are not automatic. vs 22

Why Doesn’t God Tell Us Everything We Want to Know? Isaiah 48:1-11 1. God prophecies to keep me from claiming credit myself. vs 1-5 2. God prophecies because He knows my sinfulness. vs 6-8 3. God does not abandon us, but refines us. vs 9-11

How Can Pray for Unsaved Family and Friends? Isaiah 45:14-19 ​ I can pray that they see others like themselves following God. vs 14-15 ​ I can pray that they see the futility of life without God. vs 16-17 ​ I can pray that they see God in Creation and His Word. vs 18-19

Can I Trust God’s Plans for Me? Isaiah 45:9-13 1. It is foolish to question God’s ways. vs 9-10 2. God has the authority to do as He wishes. vs 11-12 3. God’s actions are not limited by my imagination. vs 13

God is Able to Deliver Even When I See No Clear Path Forward Isaiah 45:1-8 ​God is able to use the unconventional. vs 1-2 ​God has His reasons for using such unusual means. vs 3-6 ​God is able to use even evil for His purposes. vs 7-8

I can have Joy Because God is in Control Isaiah 44:23-28 1. God has given me a reason to sing even when the future looks bleak. vs 23 2. Because God alone is creator, He is free to accomplish His purposes. vs 24-28

Everyday I Decide Who or What I Will Trust in to Deliver Me From Life’s Troubles Isaiah 44:6-22 1. God is the Deliverer I can trust. vs 6-8 2. Trust in any part of creation for deliverance is foolish. vs 9-20 3. Don’t squander the great opportunity that we call trouble. vs 21-22

God Loves Me in Spite of My Past Isaiah 44:1-5 ​ I am chosen and do not need to be afraid. vs 1-2 ​ God promises me His abundance and Presence. vs 3-4 ​ Many will desire to follow our God. vs 5

Any Deliverance I Experience is Motivated by God’s Grace Rather than My Performance Isaiah 43:22-28 1. We are terrible at doing religion. vs 22-24 2. God actively works for us though we don’t deserve it. vs 25 3. We may not like grace, but the alternative is far worse. vs 26-28

God is Able to use His Creativity to Address My Problems Isaiah 43:14-21 1. God is willing to work directly on my behalf. vs 14-15 2. Remember how God has worked in the past. vs 16-17 3. Forget how God has worked in the past. vs 18-20 4. I can recognize God’s work and respond with praise. vs 21

God Alone is God . . . So I Can Trust Him Isaiah 43:8-13 1. Only God is able to predict the future. vs 8-9 2. In spite of all my failures, God desires that I know Him through serving Him. vs 10 3. God alone can save. vs 11-13

God’s Love for Me is Greater than the Ugliness of My Past Mistakes and Rebellion. Isaiah 43:1-7 1. My secure identity allows me to endure current and future hardship. vs 1, 7 2. God will be with me even at the far extreme of ugliness. vs 2, 5-6 3. No price is too high for God to pay to rescue me. vs 3-4

We are Called to Make God’s Glory Known Isaiah 42:18-25 1. We are incapable of accomplishing what we have been called to do. vs 18-20 2. We cannot blame our failure on God. vs 21-22 3. Our default response of rebellion is displayed even when God shows parental love. vs 23-25

I Need to Praise God Even When He Seems Silent Isaiah 42:10-17 1. I can praise God because He acts as a warrior for me. vs 10-13 2. God's silence does not mean He has forgotten me. vs 14-17

As Depressing as World Events are, I can be Confident of a Great Future Isaiah 42:1-9 1. God (the One outside creation) has chosen a special Deliverer. vs 1 2. This Deliverer has a unique manner and certain success. vs 2-4 3. The One outside creation desires to fix the broken ones inside creation. vs 5-9
