The Son of David bore the curse of Adam so the sons and daughters of Adam could become children of the kingdom.

The gospel motivates and enables Christians to grow deeper in their relationship with God and firm in their faith resulting in thanksgiving.

In Jesus we find the greatest depth of spiritual understanding. This wisdom will keep us from being diluted by competing spiritual experiences.

Christians proclaim Jesus to the world around us so that they may receive him and be presented mature in him.

All who have been reconciled by God will stand blameless before him.

Jesus is supreme over all creation and in all of redemption.

The prayer of the Chief Shepherd, Jesus, is seen in Paul's prayer for the Colossians and is the model for the prayers of the pastors at CGC. He prays that they would know the will of God and walk worthy of their calling. But this only happens as they behold their God and are strengthened by the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ

Faith, love, and hope are foundational for the believer and are fueled in us by the Gospel and accomplished for us by the Trinity.

The book of Colossians reminds us that Jesus is supreme and all sufficient. Truly Jesus is Above All! 

There is no other name by which we may be saved other than Jesus. He is the fulfillment of the Old and the mediator of the New. He is the Prophet, Priest, and King.

Jesus is filling His kingdom with wise followers who build their lives on Him and obey His commands. To build on anything else is sure destruction.

Pursue the way of life at all costs and flee those who seek to steal it. Jesus is the true prophet who preaches the true words that lead to the true Savior. He is the narrow gate, the way of life, and the healthy tree.

Life together should be marked by humble repentance, dependence, and love in light of God's great love for us.

A life lived for the kingdom is a life lived by faith.

Prayer is the adopted heart's cry of life and dependence.

True and biblical religion is lived by faith before our Father, seeking the reward in Christ, not of man.

As the people return to sin we are reminded of our constant need for the gospel and the perfection of Christ.

God will build and expand His Kingdom on earth and this is cause for great celebration for His people.

After repenting of sin, God's people commit to following God's law.

As Nehemiah leads the people in prayer he remembers the faithfulness of God, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, against the backdrop of their sinfulness. This leads us to faith and repentance as we see God's amazing grace toward sinners.

When Gods people read His Word and hear how much He loves them, it leads to repentance without despair because the joy of the Lord is their strength.

The advancement of the kingdom of God strikes fear in the heart of God's enemies.
