In the Parable of the Workers, we notice that those who were called went. We also note that Jesus, like the Landowner, comes to call more than once. It is never too late to answer that call and our reward will be great both here on Earth and in heaven.

Any attempt by a man to enter the Kingdom on his own merits is futile. Fortunately, we have a God who can do the impossible. And although there is a cost to us for following Jesus, it can't compare with what He gave up for us.

Should all believers sell everything they own? No, but if you take comfort in that thought, beware! We should be willing to give up anything if Christ asks us to do so.

Hardness of heart by one or both marriage partners often leads to divorce and under certain circumstances, the Bible allows for it, yet even when there are grounds, think twice! God can still restore a relationship.

As we reflect on the past year and focus on the way ahead, we know that the way is Jesus and the destination is heaven, but what do we do until we get there? Acts gives us the model: live a life in the word, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.

We are called to offer humble guidance to believers who have gone astray and to show them the same forgiveness that we ourselves have received.

The primary responsibility for evangelizing children lies with the parents. Therefore, parents should do everything in their power to ensure their children are exposed to the gospel. Life contains a fundamental and inescapable choice: to give-up or to keep going. It is contrary to having faith in Jesus Christ to have a being of discouragement. We have to approach God's calling with optimism and determination.

If we are concerned about our status compared to other believers, a change has to take place in our thinking. Jesus tells us we are to have a simple child like faith and humility. For God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

As Christians, we have dual citizenship: in heaven, and in society. As Peter says, "Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among man." Yet we must also remember to give to God what is God's.

Present your concerns and requests to God with Thanksgiving! If we first make peace with God through Jesus, we will then know the peace of God. And the God of Peace will be with us as we pray and fellowship with Him.

Pastor Enterline reminds us that our confidence comes from our relationship with God and not who we are in the flesh. Knowing this will lead us to rejoice in the Lord.

Jesus explains to His disciples that faith (in God and in His Son) is the essential element in all good works done for the kingdom. Our faith does not need to be perfect, but the object of our faith is omnipotent.

When Moses encountered God, his face reflected God's glory, but when Jesus was transfigured, it was His own glory that shown. After we have been touched by that glory on the mountain, we must remember there are people in desperate need in the valley.

For all people, the return of Jesus Christ dictates that we ask ourselves what we have done with God's Son. For Christians, how we live our lives until that time will dictate our reward in heaven.

If we want to follow Jesus, we must be willing to give up everything for Him, denying ourselves daily.

His Cross: We are reminded that Jesus came for the cross and He was quick to rebuke any who would try to distract Him from that purpose. Likewise we should not entertain distractions from our spiritual calling.

We can not know who we are until we know who Jesus is. If you asked your friends and coworkers who Jesus is, what would they say? Look for opportunities to ask and answer this question.

Are you a weather watcher or a Jesus follower?

Jesus demonstrates to His disciples that His compassion extends to all people. Although they objected, Jesus answers the plea of a persistent and humble woman.

Sometimes it's easy to honor God with our lips and yet have our hearts far from Him. But a heart that is far from God will reveal itself in our words and deeds.

Jesus often sends us out into storms as He did the disciples, but we may be comforted in knowing that He is praying for us.
