Main Idea :  God’s biggest objective in our journey is not to get us to a destination, but to prepare us for that destination. Homework Assignment :  The shepherd boy could have never become David without the pasture.  What “pasture” season has helped to shape your life in God?

Main Idea :  This is a great story of hope found in the book of Ruth that begins in devastation and ends in total bliss.   Homework Assignment :  What is becoming more like the gospel mean to you?  How can you become more like the gospel this week?

Main Idea :  To succeed in the life God has for us, we need to truly define how we see God. Homework Assignment :  For a Christian, what is it that you need to keep shouting out loud as you live?

Main Idea:   The law could provide us direction as to where to go, but not the power to get there.  Thankfully there’s a new Moses and His name is Jesus. Homework Assignment:   If you’re saved today, what was your life like before Jesus transformed your heart?

Main Idea :  We do not need to turn over a new leaf; we need a new life. Homework Assignment :  Discuss and write down the meaning of “the Gospel”.

Main Idea :  God’s promises are true.  When we face obstacles, will we walk in faith or fear?   Homework Assignment :  What circumstance in your life right now tempts you to walk in fear?  What are you going to do about this?

Main Idea :  To understand “The Day of Atonement” in the Old and the New Testament.  We all need atonement or redemption in our lives. Homework Assignment :  From this message, how would you be able to describe what your sacrifice of praise should look like?

Main Idea :  God’s ultimate answer to all the pains and struggles of life is Jesus, the Lamb of God. Homework Assignment :  In what area of your life has the Lord made you free, but you’ve not yet learned how to walk out that freedom on a daily basis?

In our study from 2nd Corinthians we’re learn that church discipline should always seek the restoration of the offender.  Reading is 2 Corinthians 2:5-11.

Main Idea :  How would your outlook on life change if you believed God was really with you—in every situation? Homework Assignment :  What attitudes and responses to life’s challenges need adjusted in your life?  How could you work on them and with who?

In this study of 2 Corinthians 1:23-24 and 2:1-4.  We’ll learn about leadership that is friendly, kind and yet honest.  How can we be that to the people in our lives?

Main Idea :  In this story we’ll see the desperate search men and women take to find true meaning and then we’ll discover where true meaning actually is found. Homework Assignment :  What level of contentment would your friends say that you have?  Based on the teaching of this Bible story, what idols in your life need to be made far less important compared to your praise to the LORD?

Main Idea :  We’ll learn that God made a promise to a man 4,000 years ago that is impacting our lives today. Homework Assignment :  What promises or commitments do you need to make to the Lord?  Can you share a couple of them with a close Christian friend this week and ask them to help hold you accountable to them?

Main Idea :  The flood was God’s reboot of creation, but it’s still going to fail…not because God failed, but because God was using it to demonstrate something to us about the human race. Homework Assignment :  What people do you need to put on a private list and pray for each day as you ask the Lord for opportunities to tell them that another storm is coming, but they can enter the Ark of safety?

In this teaching we’ll learn that Paul addressed the fundamental problem at Corinth: the believers in Corinth were questioning the authenticity of Paul’s message to them.

Main Idea :  In this teaching we’ll learn about sin and the fall of the human race.  Also, we’ll learn about the only cure. Homework Assignment :  Could you take some time with God and your friends and uncover that “One Thing” that you’ve held onto and let Jesus cover you?

In this teaching we’ll learn that the Apostle Paul is responding to a question raise in the minds of the Corinthians about his lack of commitment or sincerity to the church.

In 2 Corinthians we’ll discover the Apostle Paul bursts forth into thanksgiving for the comfort that has come to him in the midst of his troubles and suffering.

Main Idea :  In Genesis, everything starts with one God who creates all by Himself out of nothing.  Everything comes from Him and it all exists for Him. Homework Assignment :  Creation believes in measure and meaning for our lives.  How does that differ from an evolutionists and/or an atheist?

In our first Family Night of 2020, we’ll take a look at Paul’s greeting in his second letter to the Corinthians as we introduce this book.

Main Idea :  To begin to understand the Bible’s purpose and value. Homework Assignment :  Figure out a One Year Bible Reading Plan and get started.
