Some friends lower a paralytic man down through the roof to Jesus for healing. Their commitment to the plan and trust in the power of Jesus show that they have no backup plan. 

A leper approaches Jesus in complete faith knowing that He has the power to heal him. He tells Jesus that if He is willing, he would be healed. Jesus answers, "I am willing."

Jesus tells Peter to go out on the lake and cast his net out. Peter has been fishing all night and hasn't caught anything. It doesn't make sense to him but he chooses to follow Jesus.

Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law and Scripture says she immediately arose and served those who were present. 

Jesus is recognized by a demon before He casts it out of a man. This is ironic since he was just rejected by His own people. 

Jesus is preaching in his hometown and is rejected and they attempt to stone him to death. 

Satan attacks Jesus after fasting for 40 days and he tries to entice Jesus with the sins outlined in 1 John. 

Jesus is baptized by John the Baptist and the Holy Spirit descends in bodily form like a dove.  

John the Baptist preaches repentance to make way for the coming of the Messiah.  

Jesus stays back in Jerusalem and is found teaching in the synagogue. He amazed all who heard Him and from here Jesus grows in wisdom and stature.     

Mary brings Jesus to the temple to dedicate Him and we here the inspiring Scriptures about Simeon and Anna.    

In these verses I discuss the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus. It is the only gospel that mentions the Greek word translated as manger.

Zacharias prophesies and God's voice is heard for the first time in 400 years.  

Zacharias is obedient to Gabriel's instruction and names the baby John despite protests from people around him. God responds to his obedience by lifting his punishment.   

Mary visits Elizabeth and she says some beautiful verses that are Christological in nature. These verses contain a dozen references to the Old Testament.  

When Gabriel tells Zacharias about his wife's pregnancy, he is filled with doubt.    

Gabriel tells Zacharias that his wife Elizabeth will conceive and give birth to John the Baptist.
