Bible Time with Charlie

As some of you may know, I talk A LOT about Catholicism on this show. I myself am not a Catholic, but I have many friends and family who are, including my good friend Nick Kassouf. Nick is a great guy. He owns Tru Bru Organic Coffee, the greatest coffee place in Orange County, and perhaps the world... His testimony on how he came to the Lord is amazing. Nick is Catholic, and we talk about why he d...

There's a big difference between committing a sin and living a lifestyle of sin. As Christians, we are called to "be holy as He is holy." The word "holy" means to be "set apart for God". Once we are born again, we are now set apart FROM this world and from the evil ways of this world and are set apart FOR God. Therefore, we are to live a life that is pleasing to God. This includes leaving our old...

A day without God can cause a lot of problems... We can think we are doing so well on our own, but the second we think we don't need God, we will find out very fast that we are wrong. God warned the Israelites not to forget Him, and yet after everything He did for them, they STILL forgot, and it took them 40 years to get to the Promised Land. David REMEMBERED all that God had done for him, and kne...

In this episode, we dive a little bit into the pagan roots of Easter and how every Christian needs to stop calling it "Easter" and start calling it "Resurrection Sunday". We also do a deep dive into the Old Testament foreshadows and prophecy concerning Jesus's Resurrection. Grab your Bibles, because we go deep in this one! Enjoy... and Happy Holy Week! SOCIAL MEDIA:  @bibletimewithcharlie  Thanks...

We start today's episode off by talking about the problem with the modern church today. We then go onto talk about generational curses and how through Jesus's death on the cross, we are REDEEMED from the curse of the law. What exactly does this mean? Enjoy! SOCIAL MEDIA: @bibletimewithcharlie Thanks for tuning in. See you next time. God bless!

Sin hurts God. Ephesians 4:30 says that we can grieve the Holy Spirit within us. When we become born again, we have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us. We have God living on the inside of us. He sees everything we do -- every sin we commit -- and it hurts Him when we continue to live in our sin. As Christians who love the Lord, we should not want to hurt Him. This is why we should be doing...

I received a lot of push back, mainly from Catholics, because I claimed that Jesus had brothers and sisters and that Mary did not remain a virgin after the birth of Jesus. In today's episode, we dive even deeper into scripture looking at both the English text, as well as the Greek, to see what Matthew, Mark, Luke, AND John all meant when referring to Jesus's brothers and sisters. Were they REALLY...

There are people in this world who appear to be alive -- they go to work, they eat, they sleep, they exercise -- however, if they don't have Jesus, they are in fact dead. I call them "the walking dead". They have every sign of life, but they don't have eternal life. Until you accept Jesus as Lord, you are spiritually dead. We are only made truly alive in Christ Jesus. Today we dive into Ezekiel 37...

I had a great time sitting down with Jacob Tellez and hearing his testimony about how he found Jesus while being in prison. Jacob was raised a Catholic, but was never taught what it means to be "born again". While in prison, he met a friend who taught him what it means to truly build a relationship with Jesus. Since then, Jacob has really turned his life around. Jacob's testimony is a true example...

Many people are shocked when they find out that Jesus didn't actually come to bring pace, but division. In Luke 12, Jesus tells us that families and close friends will be divided because of the name of Jesus. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us that at the end of all time He will separate the sheep from the goats -- the believers from the unbelievers. It's so important for us to recognize division in th...

Do you want to be a disciple of Jesus? Do you REALLY want to be a disciple of Jesus? If yes, then you must DENY yourself. You must deny your fleshly desires. You must be willing to leave your lifestyle of sin and surrender yourself wholeheartedly to Jesus. Disciple means "disciplined one", so in order to truly be a disciple of Jesus, we must learn to discipline ourselves by abstaining from the lif...

God has not given us a spirit of FEAR, so every time we are afraid, it is NOT from God. You cannot operate in fear and faith at the same time. Fear will hold you back from everything God has in store for you. Fear often leads to disobedience, and disobedience will keep you from your breakthrough. When the Israelites ran away from the Promised Land due to FEAR of the giants who lived there, they lo...

Your words can bring life, and your words can bring death. You can lift someone up with your words, or you can tear them down. Your words can build an amazing future for your life, or they can bring about a devastating end. The book of Proverbs tells that "the tongue has the power of life and death", and Deuteronomy 30:19 tells us to "choose life." When you speak, speak LIFE. It makes a difference...

We spend the first half of this episode talking about the Rapture -- what the Bible says about it, what people believe about it, and what people don't believe about it. We spend a good portion of this video discussing different theories and why people believe the things that they do. I hope to cover this topic more in depth in a future episode. We spend the rest of this episode talking about how J...

Proverbs 23:7 out of the King James Version tells us that "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he," and this couldn't be more true! What you allow yourself to think is what you will become. That's why I believe it's so important to think good things, to think GOD things. Getting into the Word of God on a daily basis will help you fix your thoughts on God and His Word. Who you hang around will al...

Community is so important. CHURCH is so important. As Christians, we all have a part to play in the Body of Christ. Paul repeats this time and time again in the New Testament. The whole reason we got this far in Christianity is because people took their calling seriously following the days of Jesus's Ascension. They all had a part in working together in spreading the Gospel, and it's no different...

It's always good to remind ourselves that regardless of what our past looks like, if we've made Jesus the Lord of our lives, we are a new creation, and He can therefore USE us to accomplish great things for HIS Kingdom. Once you're born again, you have a job to do, and that job is to bring other people to Jesus. The day you become a Christian, you're hired! You are now in ministry. Jesus calls ALL...

If you want things to change for you in 2025, you must ask God to change your heart. So many of us want things to change, but we don't take the time to humble ourselves and ASK God to HELP US change. Whether it's a bad habit, unforgiveness, anger, anxiety, fear... the only way we could beat it in the new year is by keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus and seeking His love and guidance. Let's make it a...

This isn't your average "Christmas Story Baby Jesus" kind of Christmas message. On today's episode, we talk about the TRUE meaning of Christ. What is Christ? Who is Christ? Why do we celebrate Christ? If you break down the word "Christmas" into two words you get "Christ" and "mas". Christ means "the Anointed One" and "mas" means to celebrate. "Christmas" literally means to celebrate The Anointed O...

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Sophia Lorey -- Outreach Director for California Family Council and host of the podcast "This Is A Woman". Sophia has been seen on Fox News, Newsmax, local school board meetings, viral videos, and more! She is a great example of what it means to "fight the good fight" in the state of California, where we need to fight the most! We talk about gender, men in w...

I had the honor of sitting down with Alicia and hearing her amazing testimony about how she found Jesus after years of practicing and engaging in witchcraft. We talk about how important it is to stay far away from anything involving witchcraft, including things many Christians may find innocent, like yoga. We also talk about the importance of praying protection, pleading the Blood of Jesus, and kn...

In John chapter 5, Jesus comes across a man who had been an invalid for 38 years prompting the question, "Do you want to get well?" So many of us have been stuck with the same problems, fears, sicknesses, sorrows -- for years, and we are Christians. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive inside of us, and yet we still choose to remain sick. When Jesus died on the cross for us 2,0...

Shon Thornburg is the Southern California Regional Director for Love Life, a pro-life ministry that encourages mothers to keep their babies and provides them with the resources they need after making that great decision. It was awesome getting to sit down with Shon and discuss pro-life ministry, Christian dating, marriage, politics, evangelism, and more! We covered so much and had fun doing it. I...

There is POWER in the name of Jesus. It's so important, as Christians, to know the power that we hold because of the Holy Spirit that is inside of us, and because of the wonderful name of JESUS. Churches must start talking about the Holy Spirit again. We shouldn't be walking around sick, depressed, tired, and warn out, especially when God promises us healing, joy, strength, and rejuvenation! It's...

It was a great honor getting to sit down and chat with my good friend Riley Stephenson last week! Riley is a global evangelist based in Fort Worth, Texas. His ministry is all about training people to go out into the world and do the things Jesus told us to do: bring souls to Him. Ephesians 4:11-12 tells us that “Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teach...
