Beyond the Gate: A Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Podcast

Reappearing after 10 years, the Elric brother’s father prompts Ed to seek an unpleasant truth about their botched human transmutation. The truth he discovers brings the brothers closer together, and more determined than ever to complete their mission of returning Al to his body!

Things heat up (literally) as Mustang’s gang closes in on those they suspect to be responsible for Maes Hughes’ murder. After Ed is carried off by Armstrong, Al joins Mustang on his mission and makes a startling realization and an important resolution that makes the mission to get his body back soon even more vital! The Elric brothers have been separated as Ed is whisked away to the East by Armstrong to have his automail repaired. While there, he discovers that things are not always as they appear and makes a new resolution for his mission to get his and Al’s bodies back. Everyone is shocked when Maria Ross is named Maes Hughes killer. However, not everyone is convinced of her guilt, which leads to our favorite quirky criminal, Barry the Chopper, coming to the rescue. We also finally remember to give an update on everything we’ve been tracking throughout the show!

The Elric brothers finally make it back to Central where they learn some devastating news that threatens to change their goals. Meanwhile, Mustang is settling into life at Central and stays true to character as he annoys the homonculi into making some moves.
