The resurrection of Jesus means everything to us, because it is proof the God can bring dead things to life! We celebrate this Easter by examining the truth of Ephesians 2:1-10.

We are able to celebrate Easter because Jesus fulfilled the law! But what does that mean?

As we prepare to celebrate our resurrection Hope on Easter Sunday, we should take the time to consider the cost. What did Jesus endure during His crucifixion in order to achieve our resurrection hope?

Sometimes we need more than a description. Sometimes, for us to fully understand something, we need a demonstration! And when it comes to the resurrection, Jesus gave us a great demonstration!

In addition to giving specific and detailed predictions of His resurrection, Jesus also offered us a deep and meaningful demonstration of His resurrection power in John 11 and the raising of Lazarus.

We don't always understand wise teaching right away. Sometimes understanding comes later! Why did Jesus tell His disciples about His resurrection if they wouldn't understand it?

When it comes to the resurrection, Jesus called His shot. He openly and accurately predicted all that would happen. Why? And why didn’t His disciples understand?

How fast are you? Do you think Jesus is fast? Why would Paul ask the Thessalonians to pray for Jesus to be fast, and for "the word of the Lord to speed ahead"?

As Paul squeezes in some final ideas at the end of 2 Thessalonians, we see one central theme: Remember the Gospel. 2 Thessalonians 3.

When things feel unsteady, shaky, or unsure, how can we find stability? How can we stand firm?

How can Christian’s prepare for the end and for Christ’s inevitable return? In all the strangeness about the Antichrist described in 2 Thessalonians 2, how are we to stand firm?

How much time do we have left? More importantly, what do we do with the time we have left? Aspen Grove elder Chris LaChance unpacks 1 Thessalonians 5 for us.

Sometimes bad things happen that make us really sad. Life can be really hard! Sometimes we will grieve. But do Christians grieve like everyone else? What is our reason to hope? 

What is our only hope in life and death? And what can we expect when Jesus returns? Paul explains our hope and the Rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

How much is enough? When it comes to really good things, the answer also feels like, "MORE!"

How much is enough? How much faithfulness or obedience or Christ-likeness is enough for us? Paul’s answer is, “Just a little more.”  1 Thessalonians 4:1-12

We all need encouragement! And, we probably also all need to give a little encouragement!

The Thessalonian church, as well as Paul, were enduring a great deal of suffering. Paul doesn’t sugarcoat this, but instead encourages everyone to push through trial, knowing who holds the victory. (1 Thessalonians 2:13-3:13)

Can you guess what something IS by getting clues about what it is NOT? Paul thinks so! And in 1 Thessalonians 2, he describes what his ministry was NOT so that we can better understand what it IS!

As Paul continues encouraging his friends in 1 Thessalonians 2, he recounts his ministry among them, describing it by what it is NOT. By understand all that gospel ministry is not, we get a better picture of what it is!

We are all imitators. We are copy cats. Is that a bad thing? Who should we imitate?

Our study of 1 and 2 Thessalonians is directly connected to our study of Acts, which we will return to later. In this session, we examine 1 Thessalonians 1 and the topic of imitation.

What comes to mind when you think of a king? There's one thing that all kings have in common...except Jesus. He is a different kind of king!

We need the good and righteous rule of a king. Jesus is and forever will be our Superior King!
