Oof. Mercury is in the microwave, and it’s showing. How ya feelin out there? Are things a lil crunchy edgy, or perhaps smooth sailing? Without labeling the conditions as good or bad, simply noticing without judgement what IS. That is the practice for these times. Mercury retrograde is from August 5-28th. It began its retrograde in Virgo (ouch) and will regress back into Leo this week. We are retra...

The Leo New Moon peaks in the morning, on Sunday August 4th at 7:13am EST. This weekend, IMHO, is a time to recenter amidst the otherwise bumpy energies afoot. Leo has taught me that self-acknowledgement is one of the most powerful practices of returning home to my power. Celebrating my little victories + triumphs along the way not only reminds me of my strength, but also creates a foundation of s...

The heat’s turned WAY up this Summer y’all. Lots of fire energy in the mix, especially Leo / Aries. How you feelin’? If it’s present — what’s the agitation trying to tell you? I have often said that the discomfort in this sacred agitation is evidence of old ways of being, rubbing up against new ones. In that space, friction emerges. That very friction creates the fire of transformation, that spark...

Once in a Blue Moon… How big, how blue, how beautiful! This Full blue moon in Capricorn is our SECOND of two full lunations since the beginning of Cancer season. It is a call-back moment to the full moon we had on the day after the Summer Solstice, June 22nd! Cancer-Capricorn, Sun + Moon, these primordial ancestors want to support us in creating systems of CARE. As opposing signs, Cancer-Capricorn...

Firstly to say, big astrological events like this are not meant to be feared. They might not affect you personally at all. However, this is one that hold implications for the collective family in big ways. Uranus has been in Taurus for many years now, shaking up our foundations to reveal what new life is ready to come thru. When we fight this process, it makes it all the more uncomfortable. Like t...

During the New Moon, the Sun and Moon were in cahoots, whispering dreams and seeding prayers for all that we are becoming. Something has been planted in the fertile soil of our subconscious, that will grow in us as the moon builds into the Full Blue Capricorn Moon at the end of July. Cancerian reminds us that we are, indeed, the dream of our Ancestors, even though we may not have consciously chose...

Discipline gives way to freedom. Becoming emotionally invested in what we want allows for true devotion to fuel us. Allow your care to chart your course. This week, Saturn stations retrograde (on June 29th) in Pisces, asking us to review and renew the commitments we made to ourselves in March 2023. Notice how far you’ve come, and what your emotional investment has allowed you to cultivate in your...

The wisdom of Cancer reveals to us the untapped well of MAGICK that is constantly flowing thru our emotional bodies. When we refine the listening practice to this lunar realm within, it can be honed like a fine-tuned instrument, guiding us towards larger truths in our lives that only the body can pick up on. Cancer rules all the fluids in our body, from the plasma to milk. The only zodiac ruled by...

This week, the Sun enters Cancer, ushering us across the threshold of the Summer Solstice. I talk about the rituals of our ancestors + the deeply animist ways of relating to Earth + Stars, that these thresholds specifically remind us of. Venus + Mercury ALSO enter Cancer this week, bringing a welcome tone shift from all the Gemini energy we've been swirling in! Enter tenderness, vulnerability, and...

Edgy, Clunky, Friction — these are the words that emerge in the face of this weeks somewhat activating astrology. Mars enters Taurus, where it begs us to slow TF down. The momentum we've been building for the past month or so needs a sustainable pace. Move at the speed of Nature - which is likely much slower than you'd think. Recommit to a longer timeline. Mars will immediately square Pluto in Aqu...

As Above, So Below. Gemini - the Magician, the Sacred Trickster, Hermes. Within the wisdom of Gemini lives the Gem of Truth that everything in this Manifestation is filtered through MIND. Our mind is the unique lens we look thru at the world, to write our stories of reality as seen through our unique vantage point. The experiences we’ve been thru and the unique context we’re living in have shaped...

With Jupiter having freshly entered Gemini, we are ushered into a new foundational energy for the rest of the year. As outer planets, Jupiter + Saturn’s placement gives us the backdrop of our shared collective reality + its energetic expression. While Jupiter was moving slowly but surely thru Taurus, we were collectively in a time of preparation; gathering resources for what is to come, preparing...

This lunation asks us to consider the intersection of our personal wisdom and the collective reality, examining what it is that our unique gifts are offering to the world. Learning the systems and gathering data is the work of Gemini, as Sagittarius implements strategy through lived wisdom + experience. How do both interact as we cocreate the world with one another, holding multiple realities at o...

Like the sacred bee, Gemini takes what’s been growing in our garden and allows it to spread across the landscape through its service as the pollinator. This week, as Sun, Venus + Jupiter all enter Gemini, the dream of Taurus now expands into the powerful potential for collective growth. Take a minute to celebrate all that you’ve grown in the past year, especially the things that maybe didn’t look...

This week, the potentiating miracle-gro of Jupiter in Taurus reaches its culmination through a Cazimi with the Sun, on May 18th! SUCH a beautiful gift in celebration of all we’ve been growing for the past year and beyond — taking a moment to boost and fortify our soil as we prepare to actualize our dreams of what’s been growing. This moment presents the wisdom of craftsmanship, and the potentiatin...

Abundance abounds! This is perhaps one of THE MOST fertile weeks of the year, for so many cosmological reasons! This week, we have a New Moon in Taurus on Tuesday May 7th, making an exact sextile to Saturn; Slow Magick embodied! The soil of the Earth is FERTILE + black like the moon, ready to provide resource + abundance to the gentle gardener that is willing to tend the seeds in a way that fortif...

Beltane is here, the Celtic Cross-Quarter Holiday that beckons the Sun in its glory to nourish the fields of our lives. To give thanks in celebration for the gift of life that has been handed to use directly from our Ancestors. A Fire Festival that welcomes Belenus, the Sun God, to once again bless the Earth with the force of life itself, that gifts us with abundance + resource. Taurus season huzz...

Fresh out the gates of Taurus season with an electrifying conjunction between Jupiter + Uranus, we enter this week with a renewed sense of clarity in regards to the path ahead. Tuesday the Full Scorpio Moon reminds us of the power of our emotionality, our sense of self deeply informed by the Truth of our emotional experience. Give yourself time to process + compost some of what emerged for you ove...

DURGA MĀ : Om Dum Durgayei Namaha (Sanskrit: ॐ दुं दुर्गायै नमः) This week brings the calm after the storm, an INTEGRATION from the past month of eclipse season! Sharing a favorite myth of Durga's origin in honor of Navaratri! Navaratri (9 nights of the Goddess) began the day after the Solar Eclipse in Aries, so having this fierce goddess energy in the field felt like a perfect opportunity to illu...

My friends! It’s safe to say this week holds some BIG energy, with our Total Solar Eclipse in Aries occuring on Monday, April 8th. What I want to highlight about this moment is that not only with the Sun + Moon be coming together exactly conjunct at 19* of Aries, but ALSO Chiron will be joining them at this exact degree! Which means we have a CHIRON CAZIMI occuring within the same moment as the Ec...

Painting by mk Cooper // @bearded_artist_studio This week brings a heavy dose of slowness, along with a reality check that we can't always move at the pace we're accustomed to. Or at least, that it's not always helpful to. Mercury stations retrograde on Monday April 1st at 27*, and will subsequently move backwards thru the entire constellation of Aries over the next 3 weeks. We are collectively hi...

Vedic Depiction of the Headless God of Karma, KETU - the dragon’s tail… Wow, what a humble reminder of the wisdom of the Eclipses. The karmic portal of reality opens, revealing all of its timeless wisdom. Sense impressions from past experience, unprocessed memories, unconsious patterns — all rising to the surface to be seen, known & understood. As I always say, to see is to free it. As we turn the...

Wheel of Samsara — life is anything but normal. This week, we enter the shadow of eclipse season. We are in the vestibule; the space between cycles, the liminal territory where anything is possible. When we let our minds get out of the way, we can see the true nature of this moment, and all that it holds for our soul-level process in this life. There are massive karmic implications to eclipse cycl...
