Adam Does Movies

It's time to rock out with the gals. They traded their wine glasses for instruments. The coven has to jam out to the Witches' Road Theme song for a second time to defeat the evil demon inside the vintage cabin. This episode of Agatha All Along is just awful. The characters are boring. The stakes don't exist. It's just a nothing show, like most the Disney+ offerings. See Privacy Policy at https://a...

The Penguin Episode 2 Recap + Review - Sophia is getting frustrated with her lack of power or respect within the family. Meanwhile, Penguin is planning his own rise. Perhaps these two can help each other out in the 2nd episode of The Penguin. Megalopolis is failing miserably at the box office and for good reason. This was never going to be a movie that got mass appeal. In fact, this is barely a movie that has any appeal. It's a film for Francis Ford Coppola and him alone. He poured his own money into this project and the results are messy at best. I attempt to break down the messages and meanings behind Megalopolis. It's not an easy ta...

Wolfs Movie Review - Apple+ has a new, big-budget exclusive starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Teaming up once again for an entertaining comedy. At least, that was the idea. The movie has a very slow pace, small laughs and a premise that falls apart the longer it goes on. While it's fun to see Pitt and Clooney team up again, Wolfs just ain't it. Megalopolis Movie Review - Francis Ford Coppola made a brand new sci-fi film that I assume he likes. I can't imagine anyone else will but stranger things have happened. Megalopolis is the perfect title because it's terrible to say and means nothing. The film has a bunch of lofty ideas and ambition but ends up somewhere in LaLaLand. Agatha All Along Episode 3 Review + Spoiler Breakdown. I continue on my journey to watch the painfully lame Agatha All Along series. Episode 3 might be the worst one yet. As our coven sips wine and goes on a scavenger hunt. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info. Am I Racist Review + Spoilers - I recently watched and reviewed Am I Racist. The new Matt Walsh film that tackles DEI grifters. I found the film to overall be lacking the humor or substance it claims to have. In this video, I go into further detail as to what worked and what didn't. Agatha All Along Episode 2 + Spoilers! - Agatha is assembling a team. A team of powerful witches that can easily hold a note. That's a big requirement for episode 2 because the ladies need to sing a song to travel to the Witches' Road. I do a full episode 2 breakdown along with a bit of singing myself. I'm sorry in advance. The Substance Movie Review - Demi Moore is back in a brand new, twisted film about an aging actress in Hollywood. The levels she will go to be relevant again need to be seen on the big screen! Agatha All Along Review - A new Marvel show that appeals to someone, maybe? I don't know what the point of this show is! Transformers One Movie Review - This is not Paw Patrol X Transformers! This is a movie for all-ages that manages to capture all the great things from past Transformers films and shows. I was very impressed by this movie! If you are on the fence, give it a go. Am I Racist is a new comedy from The Daily Wire. Matt Walsh goes around making white people feel uncomfortable for feeling bad about their race. He also goes after the media machine by pointing out how they stoke the flames of devision. The idea doesn't sound particularly funny but perhaps the execution is. Let's find out in my review for Am I Racist? See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privac...

The First Omen Movie Review - Back In the Habit! The Omen returns with a prequel. I just saw this movie 2 weeks ago when it was called Immaculate. I liked it better then but this movie isn't too shabby either. The First Omen has a very familiar premise and a few shocking moments. Overall though, unless you are a big Omen fan, this movie isn't going to do much to impress. Wait for it to hit streami...

Monkey Man Movie Review - Dev Patel directs and stars in a new action flick called Monkey Man. This film has some heavy John Wick influence while carving out its own unique style in the action genre. That style might not work for everyone though. I give the pros and cons of Monkey Man and let you know what you can expect! The Matrix 5 is happening without the Wachowski's involvement. Warner Bros. seems to think they can continue driving this franchise into the ground and still make money. The Matrix 4 was easily one of the worst movie sequels I have ever seen. Everything about it was just terrible so my excitement for a 5th Matrix film is at an all-time low. That doesn't mean there isn't a very small part of me tha...

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Movie Review - If you are looking for an all-out, action-packed flick featuring a giant ape and a giant lizard; GxK is the film for you! Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is about as dumb as a movie can get. It's basically a 2 hour Saturday morning cartoon with non-stop action and spectacle. I had a good time with this mess of a movie! See Privacy Policy at https://ar...

Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 Movie Review - Pooh is back with a new look, new story, new characters but the same crappy tone. This movie will undoubtably have a cult-audience but these Winnie-the-Pooh movies just don't have the right feel to them. The lack of comedy and self-referential humor is puzzling. Why are they taking this crap so seriously? I give you a full breakdown of Blood and Ho...

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey did so well, that the studio is making a series of monster-verse style films such as Peter Pan, Bambi and Mad Hatter. These will be part of the Poohniverse, coming in 2025. I hate this! See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Movie Review - The Ghostbusters are back... kinda. The old dogs grab the proton packs for yet another last ride while the kids take center stage. Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is all over the place with characters, storylines and nostalgia overload. At points, the film nails down the tone and at others, it again gets lost in the weeds. I just don't care about these Ghosbu...

The Strong Female Lead messaging out of Hollywood lately has been insulting and not a very bankable premise. I go over how the movie industry has tried to transform female action stars and superheroes into these perfect, boring characters instead of just focusing on making good stories. Actress Miriam Margolyes (Professor Sprout) recently said in a few interview that the Harry Potter movies are for children and that adults need to grow up. I fully disagree with that sentiment. If adult movie fans aren't allowed to enjoy the things they grew up with or find joy in new film aimed at broader demographic, then what are we even doing here? Movies can transport people into a different...

There are a lot of movie critics in 2024. There are a lot of critics, in general. I think it's good to have a voice and an approach that makes you unique. Of course, that approach might not work for everyone. I, above all else, will review a movie from a place of honesty and passion. I might not always get it right in the eyes of the masses but my goals are always the same. To entertain and share...

Blumhouse Imaginary Movie Review - It's about a bear that's not scary and does nothing. What a ride... Blumhouse is incredibly hit and miss with Imaginary easily falling in the miss, category. I really had nothing nice to say about this one. Save your money. I imagined something better.
