The Monkey Movie Review - We have a new Stephen King book adaptation back in the theaters. This time for The Monkey. Longlegs director, Oz Perkins, brings this book to life in a very funny and twisted way. I was honestly shocked that this was the same director that did Longlegs. I give you my thoughts on The Monkey in a spoiler-free review. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and Calif...

Ne Zha 2 has become the #1 highest grossing animated movie of all-time. The movie has already overtaken Inside Out 2, the Frozen films, The Super Mario Bros. movies and a few other films that have hit the billion dollar mark, in theaters. I have never even heard of this film? What is going on? See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privac...

Anora Movie Review - Sean Baker is back with a brand new film! Anora stars Mikey Madison in a fantastic role as the lead, Ani (Anora). She and a fun cast of sad individuals take us on a journey through their world. Anora is beautifully shot and scored, connecting you with these people as they navigate a bad situation. Sean Baker also provides his excellent trademark dark humor. Anora is up for sev...

The Gorge Movie Review - Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller star in a new scit-fi/action/love story, called The Gorge. It's an Apple+ exclusive which means, I'm prepared for the worst. Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as I thought. Unfortunately, it's still a huge mess. I give my thoughts on this film in a spoiler-free review for the first half. The second part of the video will go over breaking down t...

Kinda Pregnant Movie Review - Amy Schumer is back with another comedy that has virtually no humor. This is a Happy Madison production which is extra troubling. This company hasn't produced a good comedy in decades at this point. Kinda Pregnant has a miserable concept, told in an unfunny way with your standard fart jokes, pratfalls and bad timing. Another miss from Ms. Schumer. See Privacy Policy a...

Captain America: Brave New World Movie Review - Anthony Mackie takes up the shield in a brand new Captain America movie. Harrison Ford joins the cast in a surprisingly larger role while almost all the new characters kinda suck. The story is complete nonsense. The action is the standard MCU stuff. The music is about as bland as it can get. There just really isn't much in this new Captain America to...

Heart Eyes Movie Review - We are starting to run out of holidays for villains. First we had Thanksgiving. Then Terrifier starting terrifying Christmas. Now we have a Valentine's Day murderer with Heart Eyes. The movie is very aware of the silly premise and uses it to its advantage. I had a good time with this fast-moving flick but it certainly isn't going to do anything wildly unique for experts i...

Love Hurts Movie Review - Ke Huy Quan stars in a new action flick, just in time for Valentine's Day. Love Hurts is a love story, set around a Jackie Chan style movie. The action is pretty fun and keeps the picture moving but everything else falls very flat with a story that makes very little sense. I'm Still Here Movie Review - A lot of talk has been going around about the Oscars this year. Unfortunately, Emilia Pérez has dominated the conversation due to the controversy around both the movie nominations and comments from the actors. Meanwhile, I'm Still Here exists and is absolutely fantastic. I'm Still Here is a powerful film with strong performances and brilliant directing. It's easily th...

Companion Movie Review - Sophie Thatcher stars in a new thriller/horror called Companion. A film that finally gives voice to the oppressed robot workers out there! Companion was a nice little January surprise, considering the month is typically filled with terrible movies. Nosferatu is putting up huge numbers at the box office while Wolf Man is struggling to find an audience. There was a very simple fix for that. A certain audience was left out and had they just followed my advice, Wolf Man would have been a huge hit. Emilia Pérez Movie Review - Not since the movie CATS, has a film made me question my own existence quite like Emilia Pérez did. What in the world was this supposed to be? Why does it have 13 Oscar nominations? Have I gone mad? Has the world collectively lost its mind? Emilia Pérez is the cringiest movie I've ever sat through. The dialogue is miserable. The performances are laughable. The entire pr...

The 2025 Razzie Award nominations hare in. Joker 2, Borderlands and Jack Black himself look to clean up this year. Reagan is no slouch either, with several big nominations. In the wings, we also see a lot of attention being put on Megalopolis. Yes, the Razzies have no shortage of garbage movies to choose from. Even a couple of Netflix exclusives like Unfrosted, Rebel Moon 2 and Atlas get their tim...

Just when we thought "The Power of One, The Power of Two, The Power of Many" was behind us. The Acolyte returns in prequel form. Vernestra is getting her own spinoff story arch in The Acolyte: Wayseeker novel. This will be one of a series of official books, set within the Disney Star Wars universe. Let's just hope a TV series on Disney+ doesn't follow down the road. See Privacy Policy at https://a...

Back In Action Movie Review - Cameron Diaz is back! She's teaming up with Jamie Foxx to parent kids and stop bad guys. Back In Action is a PG-13 action-comedy that premiered on Netflix. As bad as most streaming exclusives are, Back In Action managed to entertain thanks to the chemistry between the two stars. Not a bad Sunday afternoon watch. Wolf Man 2025 Movie Review - Another classic movie monster gets a modern reboot. Wolf Man is a fresh take on the werewolf but is it the right take for audiences? I give my thoughts on this new version and hopefully help you decide if it's the right film for you. Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare Movie Review - The Winnie the Pooh: Blood & Honey team is back with their newest installment into The Twisted Childhood Universe, Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare. The film follows a new character but it still has that low-quality, low-effort feel. Little is done to capitalize on the brand but instead it's just another excuse to make a schlocky slasher film. It's bec...

Where is The Batman 2? The Batman released 3 years ago and we still no almost nothing on the sequel. The Batman Part II is not scheduled to come out now until 2027. The script isn't even finished! I have some thoughts as to what they should do and how they should handle The Batman sequels. Better Man is a strange biopic about Robbie Williams, as a cgi chimp. I recall seeing the trailers and wondering who in their right mind would go to this. Then I watched it and was incredibly impressed. That doesn't make my concerns any less valid. Folks did not show up for Better Man and the reason was obvious. See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https...

The Flash movie was a financial failure and just one of several in a row for the DCEU. The Flash director decided now is a good time to remind people that even talented director's can have some pretty terrible opinions. He blames the failure of the movie on the lack of popularity of The Flash. Stating that people didn't go to the movie because The Flash just isn't that popular of a character. I'm...

Here are my Top 10 picks for movies in 2025 that will probably suck. I checked out the lineup for 2025 and a few movies stood at as troubles spots. I think Snow White looks like a complete train wreck. I still can't believe Mel Gibson directed Flight Risk. It looks really rough. Then there's the Minecraft Movie. What were they thinking? Sprinkle in a hot-take like Avatar 3 being terrible, and you...

There are some awesome movies making their way to theaters in 2025. Today I give you 10 films that I'm very excited to see! M3GAN managed to bring a unique twist to the evil doll genre and I think M3GAN 2.0 will go way harder. James Gunn has a massive job to do with Superman and I think he's the perfect director to bring it home. Prey turned out to be a great entry into the Predator franchise so h...

Ad Vitam Movie Review - Well here we are. The first streaming-exclusive film on Netflix I've watched for 2025. It's about as bland as expected. In fact, the biggest crime Ad Vitam has going for it is just how formulaic and basic it is. Let's talk about it! See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info. Learn more abou...

Better Man Movie Review - Robbie Williams stars as a cgi ape in Better Man. The film is based on his true story but with an obvious twist. I was absolutely floored by the quality of this picture. The music, the choreography, the story; it all worked. I think fans of Robbie Williams will really appreciate this film while newcomers should have no problem getting into the strange presentation. See Pr...

I already mentioned my picks for worst movies of 2024 but 10 other films managed to disappointment me almost as much. Today I go over 10 movies that I was very excited to check out but ended up either disliking or being let down. Films like Longlegs and Nosferatu had huge buzz from fellow movie critics. I felt mislead after seeing them for myself. I hated those films! Moana 2 was not a total waste...
