Phil Spencer just keeps collecting those Ws. He earned himself a big promotion today, just after the news broke that Microsoft bought Activision/Blizzard. Normally we aren't big fans of less competition and umbrella corporations, but in this instance it may actually be an all around good thing for consumers. Give a listen to find out why.

We've never really gotten into crypto, because we aren't experts and this isn't that type of podcast, but Square Enix released a newsletter that has made it absolutely clear that the industry wants to go toward NFTs in games. As block buster games grow ever bigger, the pool of triple A genres seems to shrink. What do I mean? Well, it seems like certain genres of games are becoming relegated entirely to the indie scene and we have some theories as to why.
