UK publisher to continue to publish original Roald Dahl books 27.02.2023

Earlier this month, Puffin and The Roald Dahl Story Company announced they were removing offensive and insensitive language from the late-British author Roald Dahl's classic stories, including “Matilda” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Critics cried censorship, so the publisher says they have found a middle ground. But a bill that would narrow the criteria for membership failed in committee on Feb. 24. Since Myanmar’s military seized power in a coup two years ago, the US government has tried to isolate the junta through sanctions. It has even taken steps toward supporting an armed uprising to restore democracy in Myanmar. But this month, Washington chose to participate in joint military training exercises.
