Bangladeshi economist Muhammad Yunus spearheaded the move to offer microcredit to the world’s poorest. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2006 for groundbreaking work that promised to lift millions out of poverty. Yunus tells host Marco Werman that now commercial banks, posing as microlenders, have taken over the industry, plunging millions into debt.
