Your Art Matters

If you want to make a living from your art, you need to do this one thing before anything else. Carve out time every week to make it happen. Create more time by compartmentalising your life. Dedicate time each week and take yourself to a new environment to get it done. It’s not easy, this is what I’m talking about today !

Over the last week, I have been talking to other artists and the same conversation has been cropping up. People have been sharing their stories about how one person's criticism has stayed with them forever! Coming back from a break can leave you filling full anxiety, questioning if your art is good enough and this is what I am chatting about today.

Today I am talking about that feeling when you are not making progress, you know, the feeling that you are not good enough, or that you are making yourself look ridiculous. I have been having all those feels recently, so want to share what I am doing to overcome them

We have been pondering the question "what is art?" lately. Especially as we have had many artists join our members' Hub who make art in alternative media and materials.

We've got many new people around here, so I wanted to share my story of where United ArtSpace started from and the importance of not giving up. Often, when we are finding things hard, it is because we're about to turn a corner. Always remember, everything happens for a reason. I believe there is a place for everyone in the art world, and it's possible at any stage and any age to bring your creativ...

This week I want to talk to you about the journey of being an artist. Everyone has a different story, but this is what makes us all amazing and individual.  Remember, your story is powerful, meaningful and beautiful. 

So, this week I want to share my ways of finding inspiration with you. Sometimes we all need a little push in the right direction. I am going to share my five top tips on digging deep when needing that little bit of inspiration.
