You Watched It Wrong

Special guests Todd Carney and Hugh Jasper join Wade and Siggy for another round of movie trivia in a recording session so monstrous, it had to be split up like the Triforce.

Wade and Siggy discuss (almost!) the entire MCU at length, breadth, and depth, each giving their Top 3 and Bottom 3 choices in a number of categories: Movie, Superhero, and Supervillain. (Recorded in May 2018 -- it's a long story -- so discussion doesn't consider Ant Man and the Wasp... but c'mon, that was a pretty middle-of-the-pack movie, and we're not giving our Middle 3!) 

For once, we have an episode that's shorter than the movie! Of course, we're all shorter than Godzilla... but what's about Godzilla's shin? Wade and Siggy will spit it like atomic fire as they stomp their way through Toho's 2016 reboot of the classic kaiju franchise.

In a change-of-pace episode, Wade concocts a very specific game show for his brother (and special guest) Todd Carney; then Wade, Todd, and Siggy discuss their first memories of "badassness" (with a long digression into Die Hard, inadvertently returning us to our usual format!).

Who wants to talk more about Ben-Hur? Let's assume you do! Wade and Siggy discuss the latest attempt to update an enduring classic, and in the process answer the question, "How is the 2016 version like Ben-Hur's view from his chariot?" (Answer: It's for horses' asses.)

One of the greatest of all film epics derves an epic discussion. So naturally, four versions of that epic deserve two episodes of You Watched It Wrong! In this installment, we jump into the chariot with Charleston Heston and take a couple laps past the history of the franchise that turned Jesus Christ into a bit player.

In stark defiance of the movie they have watched, Wade and Siggy cross-over with no other podcasts whatsoever, in this the smallest full episode in YWIW history! It's packed with jam!  ... And discussing! Miss it not, true believers!

Still in the grip of Oscar Fever™? Here's your cure! Recorded immediately minutes after the 2018 Oscars broadcast, and released immediately 16 days later, Wade and Siggy run down all the awards, all the glamorous gowns and guysuits, the montages, the Jimmy Kimmel jokes, all that stuff that's still the talk around the water cooler! Time well spent is time well cherished!

In this specialsode, Siggy gets ready for Blade Runner 2049 by measuring the original against its cinematic peers.

Now that we've seen the  original ending of Get Out , we just had to put out a special "minisode" to discuss it.  So natuarally, we spend almost 2 hours on this 3 minute, 40 second clip!  And we do some soul searching along the way as we confess to our past uses of offensive humor.

'Twas the night before the Oscars, and Wade and Siggy talked late into the night about another Best Picture nominee, Arrival.  And because nobody has taught us a sentence structure that allows us to peer into the future, we talked about The Oscars themselves, in complete ignorance of the incredibly interesting thing that's the only thing anyone will ever remember about it!   Yet defying these odds...

We can't sing and we can't dance, which makes us perfectly qualified to explore La La Land. We thought all kinds of thoughts about it!  Then we talked our thoughts!  Did it deserve all the Oscars that we didn't know yet whether it would win? Can we stay on topic? The only way to know is to listen, unfortunately.

Wade and Siggy kick off this new podcast just like the Rebellion kicked off their assault on the Death Star.  Are our hosts similarly doomed?  Will this series be a similar runaway success?  Will our conversation meander for light years before we finally get to the point of this whole thing?  (Also, we discuss Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.)
