The Bible uses several metaphors to describe the relationship between Jesus and his people. We are sheep, and he is the Good Shepherd who gives his life up for his sheep. We are his body, and he is the head. Today we focus on perhaps the sweetest metaphor – he is the bridegroom, and we are his bride.

This week, Pastor John tackles the complicated and important topic of  "The Christian American and Voting". How would you respond to someone  who argued that a vote for a particular candidate was a vote for Satan?  What do Christians need to consider when they interact with brothers and  sisters who disagree with them on politics?

But he is more than a just a good teacher. The teachings of Jesus come with authority. We cannot reject his teachings without at the same time rejecting his authority – and we know it.
