Splitting up the last beatitude into two parts, we look first at what is the only thing compelling enough for someone to follow the words of Jesus when He said, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of God." Preached 11/14/16

With only a few weeks left in our series on the beatitudes look at "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called Sons of God." This term peacemakers is a term only used here in the beatitudes in the whole of the bible and Jesus gave great weight to what it really meant. Preached 11/07/16

Heather and Katie tag team the sixth beatitude, "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God." We look at the importance God puts on us not being outwardly good but inwardly pure. Once we see that our standard isn't enough we are left with the question, how can we practically be pure in heart? Preached 10/31/16

There is the way the kingdom of the world sees getting what you deserve and there is a way the Kingdom of God sees this as well. But do we really get what we deserve? And how are we to live up to Jesus' words, "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy" today? Preached 10/24/16

The next part of our Beatitude series picks up with "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." But what in the world does meek mean?
