WORST. COMIC. PODCAST. EVER!

No time for niceties this week. We've got a lot to cover on today's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! So enough with the jibber jabber, let's write about what you are going to hear us talk about.  John starts out with quick recaps from this week's episodes of Supergirl and The Flash . Bu we really want to talk about the awesomeness that is the CW's new super-hero hit, Black Lightning . Y...

Another week and another podcast from the guys at the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! We are slowly working our way towards Episode 200, which means we should probably start thinking ahead and figure out what we want to do for that. Right guys? In the meantime, we are going to give you the best darn 187th episode we've ever done! (Never mind the fact that it the first 187th episode we've ever done......

The calendar may now read 2018 but we are not done talking about 2017. With that year FINALLY over, we look for the best of the best - the best single issue, the best ongoing series, the best TV series and the best movie! We all make our picks, but we want to hear from you. Do you agree or disagree with your picks? What did we overlook? Share your thoughts with us in the comments. We also start lo...

So, still want a glass of fresh blue milk? The guys are back in the recording studios to discuss Star Wars: The Last Jedi . What did we like, what didn't we like, and what has us shaking our heads still trying to make sense of after viewing the latest addition to the Skywalker story.  While this should go without saying, we will say it here and now: We are going to spoil everything we can. So if y...

Join us on a sleigh ride down to Whoville with a classic story from Dr. Seuss -- How the Grinch Stole Christmas ! We wish each and everyone of you the happiest of holidays. May it be filled with family, friends, and fun. Oh, and lots of comic books! We'll be back next week with our review of Star Wars: The Last Jedi ! We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been re...

It's a Hollywood-focused episode from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! this week. Not to fear, we do get some comic talk in throughout the show. Now, we record on Wednesday nights, so at the time of this recording, the Disney acquisition of Fox was still just a speculation. Since then, the deal has gone through and we can soon hope to see an Avengers vs. X-Men sometime during Phase 4 of the Marvel...

Welcome back to the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! The longest-running, lowest-rated podcast in our market.  On our show this week, we dive into Batman Annual #2 from Tom King, Lee Weeks, and Michael Lark. I think this one all touched us in a special way - but not in a Congressional way. Seriously though, this is a spectacular issue with tremendous art to compliment a comic book love story.  Stickin...

Gathered together from the cosmic reaches of the universe, here in this great Hall of Justice, are the most powerful forces of good ever assembled: SUPERMAN! BATMAN AND ROBIN! WONDER WOMAN! AQUAMAN! And The Wonder Twins: ZAN and JAYNA, with their space monkey, GLEEK! (how about FLASH! CYBORG!) Dedicated to truth, justice, and peace for all mankind! We are back in the studios after the Thanksgiving...

Coming to you live... well, nearly live. This is a recording. We were alive and well when we recorded this, and we hope you are alive and well when you are listening to this... Anyway, welcome to the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! panel from the 2017 Kansas City Comic Con. As you may have heard, Cullen was not able to attend in person. But thanks to the wonders that are the Google machines, we were...

So how was your weekend? Because ours was pretty incredible! John got hugs from Doug Jones, Jerry chatted it up with a not-so-silent Silent Bob, and Cullen found a motherlode of Who's Who issues in a Portland dollar box. In this episode, we chat up all things Kansas City Comic Con and Frankenstein's Comic Swap. We go over our panels, including the incredible WCPE panel which can be found in our po...

It's another busy weekend for the guys at the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! So give this show a listen right away to stay caught up with us for the next three days. First up is the two conventions we will be at. You can find John and Jerry at the Kansas City Comic Con at Bartle Hall. We will be set up at booth 703, as well as hosting a lot of panels throughout the weekend. In particular, join us Su...

We are just days away from the start of the 2017 Kansas City Comic Con . We are so excited to get back to Bartle Hall and hang out with our tribe again for three days. Can we let you in on a secret? The person we are most excited to see this weekend... is YOU!!! So, to help us with all things KCCC, we brought in Barry Poole to talk about the guests, the events, and the opportunities that will have...

It's the weekend before Halloween and the guys from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! have bats on their minds. Specifically Batman! We are talking a bunch of Batman this week, with our favorite writers, artists, and stories from the last 75 years.  We also recap John and Jerry's trip to Freestate Comicon last weekend and look ahead to the upcoming weekend, with our trip downtown to Clint's Comics...

Over the last couple of weeks, the guys of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! have been busy reading comics and watching the fall TV shows.  But we haven't talked much about the upcoming movies. So today's episode has the guys looking at the slew of recent trailers for comic-book related films coming out in the next six months. All of these trailers are easily found on your Google machines, so go gi...

It is so much fun to be able to bring one of our favorite creators onto the show to talk comics or movies or even the Hero Initiative. It's even more fun when we can talk about all three of those things with a favorite creator. Such is the case this week as the guys sit down with Dan Brereton . See, for more than 20 years, Cullen has been a huge fan of Dan's work, going back to his original Noctur...

It's another busy week at the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! Let's cut out the jibber-jabber and get right into the podcast, OK? First up is John's interview with artist Morgan Beem , whose work you will see next week with the release of The Family Trade  #1 by Image Comics. The guys got to meet Morgan at Rose City Comic Con last month and fell in love with her artwork. John interviewed Morgan befor...

It only took 172 episodes, but we finally -- FINALLY -- got comic book writer Jai Nitz on the line with us to talk comics. Specifically his new comic Fu Jitsu from Aftershock Comics. This book has been in the making for 10 years, going through multiple revisions before arriving at your local comic shop this week. In this book, Fu Jitsu is the world's smartest boy and has been for the last hundred...

For the long-time listeners of this podcast (and God bless you for doing so!), you know that we don't always promote what we will be talking about the next week at the time of our podcast recording. The reason we don't do that is pretty obvious - most times we don't know what we will be talking about in seven days. And sometimes, we don't know what we will be talking about seven minutes before we...

The 2017 Rose City Comic Con is in the books, and the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! is proud to have been right in the middle of it all. Over the weekend, we spent three incredible days working the Hero Initiative booth, managing donation buckets in artist alley, and meeting some of the coolest comic fans in America. Oh yeah, and we also spent some time with creator Dave Gibbons. Yes, that DAVE GIB...

It's the nerd's version of Christmas Eve for the guys from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! At the time of recording this show, we were just a day away from reuniting for the Rose City Comic Con in Portland, OR. By the time you listen to this, we will be watching the sun come up in the west. Of course, with a big weekend planned, it's hard to focus on any single topic this week, so we jump all ove...

We are super-excited to have comic creator Jeremy Haun on the show with us this week. Jeremy (along with Seth Peck, Nick Filardi, and Thomas Mauer) is launching a new book for Image Comics later this month. The Realm #1 hits shelves on September 13, but we get Jeremy to reveal all of the secrets from the first issue.... Well, maybe just some of the secrets..... Truth be told, he didn't tell us a l...

Another week, another podcast because the guys from the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! love you. Ohhh Yeahhh! The week started out with the various publishers releasing their solicits for November 2017. We scanned the listings and picked out some of the books that intrigued us. As always, if there is an upcoming book that you really want to get, make sure you let your local comic shop know that so t...
