We TRY to be a good Christian. We try to read our Bible every day. We attempt to help people. We throw some money in the offering plate. But we often do those things in hopes that God will be happy with us. But is God impressed? Actually – NO! He wants us to do all those things but for a completely different reason. Mary is pregnant with Jesus. She is undoubtedly confused. She probably wonders – what is going on? She needs someone to talk to. This week Mary travels to her relative Elizabeth and Elizabeth will help Mary remember that no matter how bad it looks, no matter how much it doesn’t make sense humanly what has happened, God is right in the midst because He always has a plan.

Hypocrisy. We see it all around us from people claiming to be Christians who don’t actually ACT like Christians. Today we will ask this question: Are we living in such a way that people DON’T want to follow Jesus because of us? Are we saying one thing and doing another? Join us as we continue in Romans 

So often Life changes in an instant. We wonder – what is God doing? We are confused. Today we will see how that plays out with Mary. Her life is going one way and suddenly an angel shows up and says “God has a different plan”. Join us today to see how to move from being confused to accepting God’s new plan for your life.

Fear.  A natural response to a perceived threat. We have all felt it and Mary the mother of Jesus was just as susceptible to fear especially when she heard she would be the mother of the long-awaited Messiah. But for Mary, she handled her fear differently. She surrendered her will to God’s will and that might be the best cure for fear known to man.

What does it mean to follow Jesus? Is it like clicking the “follow” button on Facebook and now you and Jesus are friends? Or does Jesus expect more from us? Then let’s talk about alcohol. Are Christians allowed to drink? What does the Bible say? Join us today for the answer to that question as we study Jesus’ miracle of turning water into wine.

Favored by God. We think being favored by God means a new car, a big bank account, and a month-long vacation at the beach. But as we will see today – being favored by God usually means hardship and we will see that when the Angel Gabriel shows up to Mary with a message of “you are favored” but her life would never be easy from that moment on.

How would we feel if an angel showed up with a message from God? Would that scare us? Possibly because as we see today –the Angel Gabriel showed up and it terrified Zechariah! But I love what the angel Gabriel says: I have a message and I just came from the presence of God. Today we will see what that message was!

What exactly is baptism? Do I have to get baptized to be saved? Is being sprinkled as a baby considered being baptized? Is everyone who is baptized actually saved? But a more important question is this: What should be happening after I get baptized? That’s a lot of questions that we will answer today as we continue through the Gospel of John.

I hate it when God is silent. It makes me feel like He isn’t paying attention. It makes me think He might not care. Today, we will see that is not true! Even in God’s silence, He works behind the scenes to get all the pieces in place for His perfect timing. Join us today as we see how this plays out in Luke.

Luke desired to write an orderly account of all the events surrounding Jesus’ life, and he did that by talking to eyewitnesses. Today, we will see why Luke’s job as a reporter and investigator is so important to us. We need to know the truth of what happened so we have a solid biblical foundation to stand on!

The New Heaven and New Earth. Those are some of the events that will take place after we die and it will be amazing!
