With God At Dawn

The glittering ranks are drawn up, in the form of a hollow square about their king, whose form rises in Majesty high above Saint and angel, whose countenance beams upon them full of benignant love. For each there is a crown bearing his own new name.

Pain cannot exist in the atmosphere of heaven. There will be no more tears, no funeral trains, no badges of morning. In the city of God there shall be no night.

Human language is inadequate to describe the reward of the righteous. It will be known only to those who behold it.

The voice of the Son of God is heard calling forth the sleeping saints, and as the prophet beholds them coming from the prison House of death, he exclaims thy dead men shall live awake and sing ye that dwell in dust.

The years of eternity, as they roll, will bring richer and still more glorious Revelations of God and of Christ.

Upon the tree of life was most beautiful fruit, of which the saints could partake freely. In the city was a most glorious throne, from which proceeded a pure River of water of life, clear as crystal.

The prophet beheld the redeemed dwelling in the new Jerusalem, the city of God, free from sin and from all marks of the curse, and rapture he explains rejoice you with Jerusalem and be glad with her all you that love her rejoice for Joy with her.

Of the posterity of Abraham it is written, "these all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them a far off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."

They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. In Union with Christ they judge the wicked, comparing their acts with the statute book, the Bible, deciding every case according to the deeds done in the body.

There will be music there, and song, such music and song as, save in the visions of God, no mortal ear has heard or mind conceived.

Though the rulers of this world know it not, yet often in their councils angels have been spokesman.

If the lost sheep is not brought back to the fold, it wanders until it perishes. Many souls go down to ruin for want of a hand stretched out to save.

The Angels frustrated themselves at the feet of their commander, and offered to become a sacrifice for man. But an angel's life could not pay the debt; only he who created man had power to redeem him.

A guardian angel is appointed to every follower of christ. These heavenly watchers shield the righteous from the power of the wicked one.

Before the ransomed throng is the holy city. Jesus opens wide the pearly gates, and the Nations that have kept the truth enter in. There they behold the paradise of God, the home of Adam in his innocency.

While the wind is itself invisible, it produces effects that are seen and felt. So the work of the Spirit upon the soul will reveal itself in every act of him who has felt it's saving power.

The cherubim of the earthly sanctuary looking reverently down upon the mercy seat, represent the interest with which the heavenly Host contemplate the work of redemption. This is the mystery of Mercy into which Angels desire to look, that God can be just while he justifies the repenting sinner.

God placed Adam in a garden. This was his dwelling. The blue heavens were its dome; the earth, with its delicate flowers and carpet of living green, was its floor, and the leafy branches of the goodly trees or its canopy.

He who set The starry worlds on high, and tinted with delicate skill the flowers of the field, who filled the earth and the heavens with the wonders of his power, when he came to crown his glorious work, to place one in the midst to stand as ruler of the fair earth, did not fail to create a being worthy of the hand that gave him life.

In prayer we enter the audience chamber of the Most High; and we should come before him with holy awe. The Angels veil their faces in his presence. How much more should we, finite sinful beings, come in a reverent manner before the Lord, our maker!

Eve was created from a rib taken from the side of Adam, signifying that she was not to control him as the head, nor to be trampled under his feet as an inferior, but to stand by his side as an equal, to be loved and protected by him.

In the natural world, God has placed in the hands of the children of Men the key to unlock the treasure House of his word. The unseen is illustrated by the seen; Divine wisdom, eternal truth, infinite grace, are understood by the things that God has made.

The same creative energy that brought the world into existence is still exerted in upholding the universe and continuing the operations of nature. Every breath every heartbeat is God's power keeping you alive.

The swallow and the crane observe the changes of the seasons. They are obedient to the laws which govern their life. But the beings formed in the image of God fail to honor him by obeying the laws of nature.

Only the love that flows from the heart of Christ can heal. Only he in whom that love flows, even as the sap in the tree or the blood in the body, can restore the wounded soul.
