Wintermut3
Wintermut3 Music
I have always had a general rule about Wintermut3, "I make music I want to hear" A Part of that has been to overcome barriers and "traditions" of what Electronic music has been and continues to be--the upshot being, Wintermut3 will move in directions (Funk, Metal, Rock, etc ) that are of interest, despite being a pure electronic artist. Note this does not exclude me from making more "common" types of Electronic music. I will never stop making--as long as I breathe--Trance, Jungle, Breakbeat, Techno, etc. In Fact for about 15 years I have been exploring the idea that we may be not just at an Po...

Electronicus Majoris: Die Walküre Part 3: Wotan's Farewell and Magic Fire Music 12.11.2017 12:30
As I work toward finally finishing my club series of tracks based on Wagner's Die Walküre , I decide to share my orchestral version this time. Even though this version is pretty close to the score, I have added a bar or two here and there to change the original a bit.... as I tend to do ;)--don't get me wrong, this was a very difficult thing to create over all, this is far from being just a midi "...
Song For America (Wintermut3 vs Kansas "On Flight of Angels mix" ) 02.11.2017 11:01
**Update 11.11.17: brought the duel organ back a bit in the mix. Finally got the drums to blend better. fleshed out the Morphine lead, sounds more like a 70's era Prophet synth now... new mix name/version is: WMvsKansas_SongForAmerica_11_1_F2_5 **Update 11.3.17: cleaned up the drums a bit and added a "sweet spot" 303 line that I think really adds to the original song and fits the overall mood and...
Night on Bald Mountain ( Wintermut3 vs Mussorgsky ) 15.10.2017 13:19
i always felt this track should be a metal song.... took score/midi for orchestra and scored three guitars, bass and drums... all progressive metal... 10,23.2017 Update: Pass 2, fixed some of the main tones and took the main "voice" slayer down an octave and worked the basslines a bit more ... cleaner and more defined now... blended the over mix a bit more
Funk Step 28.09.2017 3:54
just some funking fun... and a bit of an experiment with using the great IKmm Modo Bass as a bass (heard clearly in the left channel ) and as a distorted rhythm guitar (heard in the right channel )
Funking Around 13.09.2017 4:37
Just as I started my Funk 'Deep Dive' around 2010, I had started working on riffs and even full tracks that would eventually become the full albums: "Four Horses" and "Tales from a Second American Revolution". "Funking Around" was one of those early half finished tracks that I reopened the other night and dropped about 2.5 more hours into work on the project (bringing the total time spent to aroun...
Stomp (Brothers Johnson vs Wintermut3 Acid Funk mix) 10.09.2017 8:08
A first pass at a revival of this classic funk song by the Brothers Johnson. This track once again shows off the amazing modeled bass 'modo bass' by IKMultimedia, again i run various 'ghosting' midi based lines to greatly very the main bass line.... gives that off beat and or syncopated 'pop'
Set (God Of Disorder, God Of Violence) 10.09.2017 4:52
Early test track for the final piece of my seven plus year project: "Gods of the Ancients". still very much a WIP
The Gaia Circuit and the Tree of Life 01.09.2017 8:29
This project began as potential backing music for last years "Nova" and then took on life on its own as "N727" (a reference to the generation and mix number of the composition: Composition 7, Variation 2, Mix 7) Now with added epic piano lines it finds life on its own as a new entity which told me upon first listen: "I am to be called : 'The Gaia Circuit and the Tree of Life' " ... well it did......
747 (Xtra thick piano mix) 01.09.2017 9:32
Originally not released, 747 serves as "the backbone" for my Uber Epic "The Gaia Circuit and the Tree of Life... This is version of 747 brings up the piano in the mix... a lot...
747 29.08.2017 7:00
After a while, you start naming for the song number in the catalog they are ;) ... ok name is deeper than that... This track is built around the original 'study' track for "Nova"... but honestly, it really is released song number 74X or 7XX, definitively in the 700s... I think this one has bit off in the spectrum of the mix, so I will be addressing that soon...
The Fallen (777 mix) 21.08.2017 5:24

G21ND 17.08.2017 9:10
A track that was inspired by the slow evolve of "Detroit Techno"--This is what I call Progressive Dance. This is a project making use of a project (song) I cut the song I am using in this song several years back and it never saw light of day, but I had in my mind I wanted to cut it apart the using some of the techniques I created when making the KLF songs a few years back...the original song that...

R3L34S3 M3 (Telvo vs Wintermut3) 12.08.2017 4:15
When a new version of FLStudio is released, there is a 'demo' track that shows off most of the best features that have been added to that new version--'Release Me' by Telvo featuring Veela is the current offering for the new 12.5 version. Starting with 12.4 version I started taking that composition and adding new elements to give it a "Wintermut3 " feel and 'spin' . Like with 12.4, the base compos...
Sputnik 10.08.2017 4:25
Sputnik 1 was the first artificial Earth satellite. The Soviet Union launched it into an elliptical low Earth orbit on 4 October 1957. It was a 58 cm diameter polished metal sphere, with four external radio antennas to broadcast radio pulses. If the end of WWII and Stalin fueled the "Red Scare", Sputnik threw gasoline on it. The idea that something was above people, "in space" freaked people out t...
SpySat 21.07.2017 4:07
Over 2,000 Man made satellites are in orbit around the earth, many of which are of a type/class which both threaten and protect us--SpySats. This track set for release on the upcoming album "3427H" (earth) captures both feeling of protection and threat in a syncopated 'tour-de-force' of music and technology in the continuing Wintermut3 song cycle about these amazing machines that spin daily above...
Rift Part 2 21.07.2017 3:42
the tag above "break breaks" is not wrong this song is built around the idea of breaks transforming "on-the-fly" from breaks via banks and banks of gates (via grossbeat) and automation that gates the gates with the gates. Rift is not only a study of Wintermut3's contrasting styles, but also experimental and exploration of more "traditional" electronic genres like "Jungle/Drum and Bass Breakbeat an...
