Attaining God's wisdom brings tangible benefits to our lives. Grant takes us through resolutions 7 & 8 from Proverbs Chapter 3, that bear the fruit of last weeks resolutions (seeking God's wisdom), for ourselves and others.

Grant takes a look at Proverbs 3:11-12 ( I will accept that the Lord knows best ), and 13-15 ( I will seek God's wisdom to gain understanding and life from it ); giving us two New Years resolutions that, if we allow them to stick, will powerfully help shape our spiritual growth in 2023.

Ethan Miller takes us through Proverbs 3:5-10, adding a couple of resolutions for 2023 that relate to the topics of trust and stewardship.

Caleb kicks off our first series for 2023, Resolutions That Stick. He looks at the first 2 of ten New Years resolutions from Proverbs 3, that if applied to our life, will help us grow spiritually deeper, enabling us to thrive throughout the rest of the year.

Grant & Caleb share a Christmas Day message about the light that has come to the world with the arrival of Jesus that we celebrate today.

It's the 4th Sunday of Advent - a joyful day as we remember the joy that the prophets knew would come with the arrival of a Saviour, and the joy that can be ours today because of the event that we look back on. Joy to the world, the Lord has come!

Chriselle looks at the involvement of the shepherds in the Christmas story, the most unlikely bunch to be involved, but at the same time their involvement shows God's world-transforming plan to show his love to all people. This message is full of love!

Grant looks at the story before the birth of Jesus story - the story of the birth of John the Baptist, and in particular what happened to John's dad, Zechariah, as God taught him how to find peace when peace was hard to find. Ultimately his expectations were far exceeded, as can ours be in our search for peace.

Ethan concludes our Character Matters series by looking at the life of Judas , one of Jesus' disciples who showed us that the freedom of choice to grow in character is definitely ours. It's a challenging message, as the choices that Judas made seem to pop up in many of our lives as well ... and the question remains, who will we choose to follow?

Chriselle takes us into the life of John, James' brother, who displayed the interesting character attributes of being a 'Son of Thunder' who grew into a man characterised by his love. Character ... matters.

In our continuing series about character (Character Matters), Caleb looks at the life of Andrew, another of Jesus' disciples, who had plenty of passion, it was just misguided at certain parts of his life. Get passion pointed in the right direction though, and good things happen - a powerful lesson for us to learn.

Last week Grant looked at the character of Peter, one of Jesus' disciples. This week he looks at Andrew, Peter's brother - you couldn't get two brothers who were so different from each other, and yet each has a great story of how they let God grow their character. Many of you related to Peter, many of you will relate to Andrew.

In today's message, Grant takes a look at the life of Peter (Simon) and shows how, despite constant failures, Peter exhibited a childlike faith that meant he to continued to grow into being a very effective follower of Jesus. It's a simple challenge - how are we doing the same?!

Caleb Finlayson starts our Character Matters series by looking at an ordinary moment of Jesus' life that helped develop his character. It's these simple moments that grow character that those around us attribute to God at work in our lives.

Today's message is a first-person narrative, with Grant taking on the role of the father of the Prodigal Son as he looks at Luke 15:11-24 through the lens of someone who's not often thought about much in the retelling of one of Jesus' big stories, but the father had some challenging times in his season of buffering.

Ethan takes us into Part 6 of our series, Finding God When Life Is ... Buffering. He looks an early part of the life of Jesus that doesn't get a lot of attention, when Jesus' parents take their baby to the temple to be blessed - and the reaction of Simeon and Anna says a lot about when life is buffering!

Aidan looks at one of life's greatest challenges, that of knowing our identity, particularly when life is ... buffering. To do this, he looks at the example of Jesus, who endured all the temptations we do, and how he dealt with temptation while in the desert. This is a powerful message that could bring breakthrough in your life!

John Tucker, Principal of Carey Baptist College and an Elder at Windsor Park, takes us through Isaiah 43:14-21, a powerful Scripture of poetry, that challenges us to see what new things God might be doing in our lives. In the post-COVID season of our lives, this is a powerful word for us all to reflect on.

This week we're participating in Global Sport Sunday, highlighting the missional opportunity that sporting environments bring to the local church. In particular we'll see how Jesus models what chaplaincy looks like, and encourage many of you to do as Jesus did within the NZ sporting world, where the doors are wide open.
