Will He Preach?

Let's take a quick second to give God thanks for the challenges and blessings of preaching His Word. Preaching is a big job, but people don't usually talk about the small hurdles that one must jump to get to the pulpit or the gifts that flow from a job well done after preaching a sermon. This is a moment of reflection. Sit with me and I'll tell you a little about it. "Will He Preach?!!"

It was Palm Sunday, and the privilege of preaching fell to me.  Please worship the Lord with me and glean from this sermon on 1 Samuel 8:1-22. I had to repreach this sermon in my truck, but God can work through me from behind a pulpit as well as from behind a dashboard. Will He Preach? Yes, He Will. Preach Boy Preach!

Sharing the Gospel can be scary, but Jesus says to go. We trained, we went, we learned, and we will be going again. Will they share? Yes, they will. Will you? Preach, students, preach! Preach to reach!

My girls and I are doing another bedtime devotion. We can all gain so much from fellowshipping in Christ in simple moments that occur every night in most families. Stand firm in the winds of change, disaster, and confusion. Stand on the truth of God. Preach to your children in the simple moments so that, prayerfully, they will be able to stand through the complexities of life.

This episode was produced in preparation for a mission trip. We are building unity within our small group. Our small group uses 1 Corinthians to discuss church unity, discipleship, what teachers we can trust, and missions. We also tackle the importance of genealogies and why we can trust the Bible in today's culture.

We have a duty to make disciples no matter what life throws at us and to remember to fan the flames of our faith.
