What is the mission of Wildwood Church? It’s the mission of every church since Jesus left. It’s the Great Commission! Listen to how we believe the Lord would have us fulfill the Great Commission in our specific time and location.

In Romans, we learn that our salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift, and it is permanent. Once you are saved, your salvation is sure! In Romans 8:12-17, the Apostle Paul clearly gives his readers the evidence for their assurance of salvation. It is meant to be a comfort for those who are truly in Christ!

The Holy Spirit gives us life here and now, but that’s not all He does. He will also give life to our mortal bodies on the day of resurrection! We know this will happen because God has already shown His resurrection power when He raised Jesus from the dead!

Do you know that if you are in Christ, you have the presence of Christ through His Spirit in you?! And because He dwells in you, He gives life! Not only life in eternity, but life here and now!

In Christ, we receive a new identity. That doesn’t stop the enemy from throwing our old identity back in our face, though. It’s in those moments we need to remind ourselves of who we are and where we stand. We read of this identity change and positional change in Romans 8:4-11.

Paul told us in Romans 8:1-4 that the law of the Spirit of life has set us free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. In verses 5-11 Paul shows us what that looks like. Join us as we examine life in the Spirit!

Many wander through life thinking they are free, but really they are still condemned as sinners and enslaved to sin. Others are truly free in Christ, but walk around fearing condemnation! Listen to hear how both groups of people can find freedom through faith in Jesus. "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus!"

There is no two-class Christianity. Every single Christian has to fight the flesh and depend on the Holy Spirit every day. If there were a two-class system, the Apostle Paul would definitely be in the elite status. Yet, in this passage, he shares his own experiences with fighting the flesh. If Paul had to fight the flesh, how can any of us imagine we don’t?
