In 1 Timothy 1:1-11 we see how sound doctrine gives a foundation for a life of health and peace, based on the hope of the gospel.

In John 1:14 we see how God’s glory was made visible in Jesus, and now we have the opportunity to show God’s glory to the world by being people and creating communities that are full of grace and truth.

In Galatians 4:4-5 we see how, in Jesus, God became one of us in order to redeem us from sin and death, and give us the light of life.

In John 1:12, we see how, at Christmas, we celebrate that God became a child, so that we might become children of God.

In Hebrews 4:14-16 we see how, in Jesus, God became on of us in order to relate to us and to save us by becoming our great high priest, who offered himself as the perfect sacrifice.

In Jesus, God became one of us in order to reveal himself to us, and to provide a way for us to be in relationship with him.

In 2 Corinthians 13:1-14,  Paul encourages us to examine ourselves, our motivations, our confidences, our dependencies, to make sure we are aligned with Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.  By doing this we have assurance that the work God has begun in us, He will bring to completion in Jesus.
