WHFC student volunteer Aubrey sits down with Dr. Kurt Doan, President of the Upper Chesapeake Bay Pride Foundation. The 2025 UCB Pride Festival is happening on Saturday, October 4th, and Dr. Doan tells us about the festival and the many other events that the Foundation holds throughout the year.

WHFC's Matt Terry sits down with Julia McElhone-Singer, Development Specialist at Harford Community College to discuss the Glow Run & Fun Walk. WHFC student Terrance Marpoe sits down with Mark Bandy and Ed Neenan, two of the organizers of the Rock the Park festival happening on Sunday, September 28 from 12-7.  Many local musicians will take the stage at Friendship Park in Abingdon, MD, all to benefit the organization Cancer Can Rock. 

HCC student Holly McCraghan is pursuing criminal justice, and as part of her class partnership project she made an entry at 91.1. Criminal justice relates to STEM through forensic sciences, cyber security and the use of technology in crime analysis. Holly researched car crash fatalities in Maryland-something that impacts people and families all across the country.

HCC Nursing student Katey McDonald researched postpartum depression (PDP) for her entry into Seconds In STEM. Listen in to her research project about this mood disorder than can affect women after childbirth. 

Sophia was one of the students this semester who came to WHFC to share her researched STEM field project and she has a quick message about being an aerospace engineer, so tune in!
