Day 35: Radioface abandoned the podcast but fortunately Ozark saved the day!

Day 34: Zero #2 felt great on the legs. Today we did our best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle impression and ate too much pizza, ice cream, and snacks.

Day 33: The Pond Mountain Wilderness was an epic way to finish the day. We swam at the base of a waterfall!

Meet Mellow! He is a hiking machine, paddling pro, and almond addict from the great state of Massachusetts.

Day 31: A full month on trail! We had the treat of trail magic from my family to really boost our sprits as we finish up the Roan Highlands. In other good news, I am feeling WAY better today.

Day 30: Today was a very tough day. I’m feeling run down and the miles were a grind.

Day 29: Huge winds today on trail. I saw my first blowdown happen in real time. We are pushing it to Hampton.

Day 28: Six miles into Erwin was the best six miles ever. We had a blast today consuming a LOT of Taco Bell, beer, and good vibes.

Day 27: We are so close to town I can almost taste the PIZZA! All of our conversations are about food these days.

Day 26: Big Miles today! The first over 20 and the legs feel great. Today had everything you could hope for; great views, sketchy hostel, and a perfect night under the stars.

Day 25: THREE HUNDRED MILES. Can I get an air horn?

Day 24: We reached Hot Springs! I already want to come back and explore this town more. Today was a tough day with lots of climbing as we set off for Erwin, TN.

Day 23: Goodbyes are the hardest part.

Day 21: We Neroed into our first Zero!! The day was full of expected and unexpected surprises.

Day 18: Arguably the best day yet! The Smokys were gorgeous today and the hike was just view after view.

A huge part of hiking is setting a mindset and repeating mantras to keep you moving. The tramily has adopted “Fix it now, or carry it forever” as one of ours. In today’s show, Kevin (formerly Pony Boy) shares the story behind this phrase.

Day 16: Sixteen tough miles in GSMNP! It was an epic day but we are excited for warmer temps. Clingman’s Dome beckons tomorrow!

Day 15: Despite some chilly temps, the full beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains is on display. We are in for a treat these next few days.

Not so far over, the Smoky Mountains await. In mountain peaks, and valleys old. We must away, ere break of day, to climb Clingman’s Dome.

Day 12: A gorgeous day at the NOC with real food, new gear, and resupply! Then a 7 mile 3,000 foot climb. YIKES. The AT rollercoaster continues…
