From 2005-  Gary Pomeramtz, author of "Wilt 1962: The Night of 100 Points and the Dawning of a New Era."   On March 2, 1962,  in a now legendary game played in Hershey, PA,  Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points.   That is still the unbeaten record for most points scored by a player in a single NBA game.

We speak with Jesse Morton, a former recruiter for Al-Qaeda, and Tony McAleer, a former white supremacist.   They made a presentation at Carthage College titled "Out of Hatred."  They are both involved in outreach efforts to help people to leave hate groups and find their way back into the wider society.   

We preview the PBS documentary "The Oratorio- with Martin Scorcese," which looks back at a dramatic concert that took place at the old St. Patrick's Cathedral in November of 1826 -  believed to be the first occasion on which operatic-style singing was publicly performed in New York City.  The concert was recently re-created, thanks to assistance from an Italian opera company.  

We discuss the latest installment in Carthage's New Play Initiative,  "Patience and Fortitude."  We speak with its author,  Arlene Hutton,  and the guest director of the production,  Mary Macdonald Kerr.  The production opens this weekend.  (It's the 13th work to emerge from the New Play Initiative, which began back in 2009.)
