Russ Johnson, director of the jazz studies program at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside,  talks about the school's Jazz Week,  which features an array of superb guest artists performing concerts each night this week.  

We talk about the Racine Theatre Guild's production of "Clue: Onstage" with Doug Instenes, RTG's managing and artistic director, who is directing this production .... and Dan Martino, who plays the butler Wadsworth in the production.  The show opens this Friday and runs through the first weekend in April.

From the archives (2010) -  Ingrid Betancourt, author of "Even Silence has an End:  My Six Years of Captivity in the Colombian Jungle."  While running for the presidency of Colombia, Betancourt was kidnapped by one of Colombia's most brutal anti-government terrorist organizations,  and held prisoner for six years.   This memoir is her harrowing account of her ordeal....

Professor Amir Hussain, renowned expert on Islam - in town for the 3rd Kenosha Interfaith Scholar-In-Residence program.   He is chair and professor of theological studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and author of MUSLIMS AND THE MAKING OF AMERICA.  Also with us is Fatih Haprci, chair of the religion department at Carthage College.

Dr. Mark Vonnegut, author of "The Heart of Caring: My Life in Pediatrics."  Dr. Vonnegut, the son of renowned author Kurt Vonnegut, has been a pediatrician for forty years.  He writes about some of his most memorable experiences and also offers up his concerns about the ways in which the medical field has changed over the last four decades.
