This 2009 conversation is with Valerie Laken, a former writer-in-residence at Carthage College,  talking about her first published novel,  "Dream House."  We spend a fair amount of the interview talking about the craft of creative writing and the challenge of helping young writers to improve their writing.

For Nan Calvert's monthly visit to the program,  she welcomes three scientists from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to talk about the effects of climate change in Wisconsin-  with a special focus on how climate change is worsening the problem of invasive species.
