As we look at a famed vision given to the prophet Ezekiel amid some of Israel's darkest days, we will see God's promise to bring new life and hope into their situation and to all of us who are his. Ezekiel 37:1-14.

The birth of Jesus does not happen as we would expect, but it happens exactly as God planned. In fact, the way and the timing both demonstrate that God is in control the whole time. And this story provides a needed reminder that God works his way, on his time, and it’s always for the best.

Joseph faced an impossible situation, but when God revealed who the child was , everything changed. In the same way, when we truly see who Jesus is , it changes everything about how we live. Matthew 1:18-25

It is hard for us to conceive of life with no limits…and yet, what we find is that God does not have any limits regarding who he can use or what he can do, and the story of Jesus’s birth is a defining picture of that reality. Luke 1:26-38.

Many will miss the wedding feast of Christ and his bride (the church). Surprisingly, people won't miss the feast because they weren't invited; instead, they will miss it because they've either ignored the invitation or were unwilling to prepare for it. Join us as we close our Parables series.

If we don’t realize that what impresses on earth is unimpressive in heaven, we will believe a lie and miss out on the Lord. What people naturally value is not the same as what God values. Therefore, we must look to the word and see what the Lord desires if we are to live a life that pleases him. Luke 16:19-31

While we all know we ought to pray, we often aren’t really sure how to do so effectively. Jesus provides a simple guide for his disciples to understand how they ought to pray, and it would be wise for us to learn it and then do it! Luke 11:1-13

Everyone experiences discouragement, but those who are in Christ should always take heart because the Lord has provided for us a straightforward remedy: diligent, heartfelt prayer.  Luke 18:1-14

Jesus teaches this parable to reveal that true disciples will continually live in obedience to serving what God has entrusted to them for the Kingdom until He returns. Matthew 25:14-30.

While many people claim to be Christians, far fewer can actually define what that means or how they can really know if they are. Fortunately, Jesus describes with precision what it means to know him, i.e., to be a Christian, and it’d be wise to listen and heed his words. Matthew 7:21-29.

Your greatest need is to recognize your need for God’s forgiveness and to experience his forgiveness! When someone experiences the freedom of being forgiven, it can and will lead to a profound and lasting change in their life. Luke 7:35-50

When we look around, we can get disheartened, discouraged, angry, and even confused. It is only when we look up that we’ll be able to see the truth and find the hope we’re looking for in the midst of hardship and discouragement. 1 Peter 1:3-12

Jesus makes it clear what the cost of discipleship is. And this morning as we look at who this call is to, what it prohibits, and what it demands we see the great calling that it is to be a disciple of Christ. Luke 14:25-35.

Jesus is the one and only invaluable treasure on this earth. It’s not that there aren’t other valuable things in this world; it’s that in comparison to Jesus and what he gives us, nothing is even remotely as valuable as he is.  Matthew 13:44-46

Every believer is called and enabled to influence the world for Christ. The question is never: are you called or able to influence others? The question is simply will you seek to? Matthew 13:24-33

Naturally, we struggle to comprehend the depth of our sinfulness and the greatness of the love and mercy of our God. This parable presents both in shocking fashion as Jesus tells a story of two radically sinful sons and their Father whose love is that much more extravagant. Luke 15:11-32

Naturally, we hear what we want to hear rather than what Jesus actually says! We often hear the easy truths and look past the hard ones, but Jesus doesn’t give us that option. Today, I want to show you why listening is so crucial, and how not giving the word your ear could be the greatest mistake of your life. Matthew 13:1-23

For anyone to come to know the Lord, they must encounter him personally. For it is only when we encounter God that we will ever see our need for him and experience his amazing grace. Exodus 20:18-24

Each of the commandments shatter the image that we create for ourselves. The Tenth Commandments directly speaks to the state our hearts. Whether we know it or not, we covet things in life when our hope should be in Christ. Will you find contentment in Christ or will you put your hope and value in the things of this world?

Followers of Jesus are called to be people who delight in the truth. God calls his followers to speak truthfully, not deceitfully or destructively. And his followers are always to use their words to demonstrate love for their neighbor. Exodus 20:16

We often downplay the command not to steal, thinking it’s not as serious as murder or adultery. But in God’s eyes, stealing is a serious offense. And we need to grasp the full weight of what this command forbids, as well as what it encourages. Exodus 20:15.

The seventh commandment isn't speaking against something; rather, it is speaking FOR something. Sex was God's invention, and he has clear boundaries that he calls us to live by for our good and his glory. Exodus 20:14
