Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding... When we come to crossroad decisions in life, why is it important to "lean not on your own understanding" and trust God?

Unity begins in the heart

We must daily listen for the voice of Jesus to help quell the storms in our hearts. When we trust in the Lord with all of our hearts we need to trust God with what is IN our hearts.

A divided heart can lead to a divided church. Spiritually healthy hearts can lead to a healthy church. Unity is not done to us. Unity is done by us. Unity can begin (or end) with you and me. We are the times in which we live.

Psalm 133 tells us that it is pleasant when brothers and sisters can live together in harmony. According to the Bible, what is unity and how do we achieve it?

On Mondays during June, July, and August, Pastor Jeff will be leading a study of C.S. Lewis’s The Great Divorce. The Great Divorce is a Christian fantasy about a bus ride from hell to heaven. This novel provides abundant opportunities to discuss the Christian doctrines of good and evil, grace and judgment, and the significance of our choices and our astounding ability to rationalize sin.

God has called His people to be a people of praise!

Sometimes God will not lead us around the mountain. Sometimes God will lead us into the mountain, and He will make a way where there seems to be no way.

The promises we have as told in Scripture are far greater than any problem we may face. These promises are not just words, but based on the infallible character of God.

What is someone paid for ALL of your monetary debt: your car, your house, your education and yet you continued to live as if you were in debt? Wouldn't that be weird? In Christ, you are "debt free" so don't live like it.
