As we meet David once again in Psalm 18, we find that God is good, God is worthy of worship, God is a deliverance to us. Do we call on him when we should?  There is powerful praise in this Psalm, let's see if we can get on board and do some praying ourselves. We're just practicing for eternity!

Psalm 17 challenges us in our prayer life. Do we pray according to God's will? Do we bend our requests to fit our will? David shows us how to keep our sincerity in reflection before God when it comes to prayer. Let's take a walk little further down this path together.

This week we unpack the rich descriptions of blessing and how God preserves us in him. Do we trust in him to preserve us in all things? Some things? Too often our trust stops where we try to mentally limit his preservation in our lives. David shows us that God's faithfulness is not contingent on our amount of trust.

David calls out a challenge to the follower of God with a list of those things that define said follower. Paul will draw on these traits later on in the Bible and give us a similar list. Who are those that will abide with God and dwell with him? Those that are defined by his character that comes through in their character.

David is pretty hard on the fool in Psalm 14. As we explore the Psalm, we'll see that his is justified in his indictment.  The glory of the gospel is that there is even hope for the fool.

Psalm 13 brought a time of life back to Tom's memory that he shares with us in great detail. In the trials of our lives, when God is building us as Christians, it is easy to think that we've been forgotten.  We need to realize not only has he not forgotten us, he is forging us into who he wants us to be.

Despite all the wickedness we see in the world, God has destined us for preservation. All too infrequently do we ask for the help we need from our God, or all too late in the problem. Why do we wait? Why do we struggle through relying on our own strength? Let's see what the Bible has to say.

In this episode we walk through Psalm 11, where David says he is taking it to the streets. He will not flee, and neither should we. He's going on the offensive because he knows God's got this and every trial, every trouble. He put his trust in God, and we can too.

Psalm 10 tells a story of condemnation for the wicked. David's accusations are scathing and righteous, and as we look at them, we see how applicable they are to our society today. Indeed the hearts of men are desperately wicked.

This week's episode puts us smack dab in the middle of David's struggle with troubles. He prayerfully and rejoicingly points out that he is thankful that the Lord determines and judges the righteousness of all man, and that only his righteousness will pass the scrutiny.

When was the last time you looked up at the night sky and thought: Wow.? In Psalm 8 David does exactly that and then worships like we all should before an almighty God whose name is... EXCELLENT!

This week's episode take us to David's song to the Lord concerning the accusation of Cush. As David considers the accusations, he asks God to search his heart to see if there is any truth in them. Do we have the courage to do the same in the face of accusations, external and internal?

As we continue our walk through the Psalms in this episode, we look at Psalm 6, where David goes from being fearful of punishment, to being regretful concerning his sin, realizing his need for restoration through repentance.

This episode finds us with David again in Psalm 5, where we look at the benefits of starting our day in prayer and how our God protects us from the enemies within.
