The Red Sox are a .500 team when Chris Sale doesn't start. Winless when he does.  Josh explores this oddity and other strange truths about April 2019, which can't end quickly enough for the Sox.  The two weekend losses to the Rays are recapped; Sale and Alex Cora both speak to the media; he Oakland series is previewed, injury updates are supplied.

Everyone got into the act Wednesday night vs the Tigers; even Dustin Pedroia from the bench. Eddie Rodriguez wins, JD Martinez gets back into the top five in the AL batting race, even JBJ hits a couple balls hard and no, he didn't step on a rake.  Josh reviews; Alex Cora weighs in; E-Rod explains Pedroia's stealth role in all of it.

Up go the Bruins, but down go the Sox. The kids are all right, so to speak: A long Michael Chavis HR, some dazzling fastballs from Darwinzon Hernzndez, but losing twice to Detroit in one day was downright lousy.  Josh reviews the day/night double header and throws in sound from Alex Cora and Chris Sale (better, but still winless.)

It may be time to sacrafice a virgin soon.
