Psalm 50 was probably a song composed during the reign of David as a warning to Israel not to substitute formality and hypocrisy for true spirituality. Heart worship consists of more than external religious activity alone.

This significant psalm mentions the LORD no less than twenty-five times in only eleven short verses. This is the rock solid faith of a man in physical danger expressing his conviction that God will abundantly save His own. Fear fades with an increasing awareness of God.

The constancy of the Bible combines with the consistency of faithful lives to offer a compelling argument for Christian truth.

Are you living a life of faith? So dramatic was the change in Peter’s life that he wrote this letter to remind his readers that Christian faith was never intended to leave life static or unchanged. Godly transformation is a cooperative venture that unites God’s power with a believer’s sincere and positive efforts at advancement.
