The created world itself can hardly wait for what is coming next. All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it is not only around us; it is within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We are also feeling the birth pangs.

As we realize God to be the source of our life our protection our safety and security : we look to the source for safety, peace, and joy. Know this! That source is within our being. Expecting Good from others is wrong. For God cannot flow through us when we are looking to another for our supply.

When we understand our connection to the Infinite Source, we do not compete with mankind. We do not fight, we do not war with a man or sue him because we have access to the infinite source of our being, and it is this source that feeds and supplies us even while it is feeding and supplying all the other branches of the tree.

We do not play a major role in tearing down the walls. If we did, we would probably go around bragging that we had done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. But we should not take any of this for granted.

We all need something more! Paul understood that as strong as our willpower may be, it is not enough to overcome all temptation or keep our lives honoring the Lord. We need God’s Grace.
