We Should Do This Again Sometime with Kat & Marc

The gang takes a hiatus from their hiatus to drop a pod on the new “Dune” trailer. Basically, Kat and Marc needed an excuse to fanboy over Timothée Chalamet and John Boyega. (Actually, they really didn’t need a reason.) Also, Marc finally comes around on Christopher Nolan.

Fourth time’s a charm. In the latest installment of “Deleted Scenes”, the lost gems are plentiful. Kat and Marc give music and movie recommendations, rally against the Twitter algorithm, and Gene from “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” finally gets some shine. Well, maybe not. But first, they pay homage to their inspirations.

We honor an actor who was an even better man. So few of us are worthy of icon status, but Mr. Boseman was the exception to the rule. And, man, was he exceptional.

Our heroes have escaped the 80s and are finally able to review 2020 releases! In this week’s episode, Kat watches “The Batman” trailer for the first time and gives us a live trailer breakdown. Also, they ride the streaming merry-go-round and review Amazon’s “She Dies Tomorrow”, Netflix’s “The Old Guard” and Hulu’s “Palm Springs”. Is Andy Sandberg the new Adam Sandler? Not in the way you may think.

Kat and Marc are stuck in the 80’s as they dive into the directorial career of John Hughes in this week’s Trilogy Case Study. They play Racism March Madness with “Sixteen Candles”, wonder if John Bender is a poser, and test the theory that Cameron from “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off” is actually Ferris himself. Call the fire department; we burn down a couple of barns in this one.

In this week’s episode, Kat and Marc study the early 80s films of John Landis (“Trading Places,” “American Werewolf in London” and “The Blues Brothers”). Marc discusses his problem with horror films, Kat sings a few tunes, and Jamie Lee Curtis never ceases to amaze.
