He ruled for a decent amount of time but did almost nothing but fight in civil wars. How the mighty have fallen.

Antiochus VII is the last decent Seleucid king, no more description needed.

We have a lot on our plate with so much usurpation now let’s look at how Cleopatra Thea and Antiochus VI have to stop Demetrius II. We get to start the long downhill spiral.

Alexander I would DESTROY the empire, he is a worse reincarnation of Seleucus II. The Ptolemies would use Cleopatra Thea to rule Alexander. Nothing more then a drunk puppet I will look at how he managed to lose so much so fast

Demetrius I was the oldest living Seleucus and he took over from his much younger cousins but he had too much to handle. Will Demetrius crack under the pressure, well yes, but let’s see how.

Antiochus the 5th was too young to rule so once again he was just a mere pawn to a minister, this time it is Lysias.

After a short era of struggle Mithradates marched on Antioch and deposed the minister Heliodorus and his puppet Antiochus. Mithradates then crowned himself Antiochus IV Theos Epiphanes. After Heliodorus maybe murdered his dad little Antiochus would become king but the true power was within that minister Heliodorus.

When Antiochus died the empire was down one genius and in a state of chaos Seleucus would have to live up to his father’s expectations to rule. Yeah right.

When Seleucus III died his younger brother the 18 year old Antiochus inherited a devastated empire full of political strife and he did a lot with it. And when your called the great then it has to be pretty good.

The Seleucid empire had one of the worlds best military’s and I thought it would be appropriate to cover them before the recon quest of the empire.

After Callicinus died, someone had to pick up his campaign in Asia Minor against Attalus, and let’s just say the apple did not fall far from the tree when it came to young Thunderbolt.

Seleucus Callicinus was such an incompetent ruler that his little brother revolted and won. But Seleucus was the least of little Antiochus Hierax’s worries. As he would lose to a small kingdom led by a man named Attalus.

Antiochus sure went out without a bang and soon chaos would insure and who better to rule than literally the worst emperor yet. But I think although I’m harsh on him with different circumstances he could have done a decent job.

After Antiochus I died his son had a lot of problems to handle but he does a pretty good job, maybe, he does kinda, sorta start some chaos.

When Seleucus died there was a lot to live up too. Let’s see how Antiochus does. In all honesty he seems to be a good ruler but the words “He lost” seem to come up a lot more often then in his dads episode
