How does our spiritual life suffer when we harbor bitterness and unforgiveness?

When you are hesitant to forgive because you don't want to get hurt again, or be taken advantage of again.

You want to resolve the conflict with the other person but sometimes they are unwilling. Here are the steps to resolve that conflict in your life.

When you hold a grudge or bitterness toward someone you allow the devil to come into the situation. You might not FEEL like forgiving the person that hurt you, but if you do it will set you free from things that are holding you down.

The Lord's prayer commands us to be "the forgiven people". Forgiveness closes the door for the enemy to come in and try to attack your life. Unforgiveness can steal your joy by keeping your attention focused on the wrong things.

Forgiveness can be a difficult subject to apply to your life, but thankfully we have a great model to follow in Jesus. It is a decision not a feeling and Jesus taught us to pray until we forgive.

Forgiveness is not saying what the person did wrong is "all right". Don't return evil for evil but do good to them. They will be held accountable for their actions in the eyes of God (and so will we). Pray that their hearts be turned towards the Lord in repentance and for #restoration in Jesus Name.

When walking in faith what actions do I take to help me walk in forgiveness with others?

Unresolved conflict that is not addressed can cause bitterness that when kept bottled inside of you can explode hurting your #loved ones instead of the person who wronged you. Let go of unforgiveness and release them (not because they deserve it) but for yourself, to walk in the #fullness of what God has for your life! #Forgiveness
