Walk Like a Hebrew

“I am יהוה, your Set-apart One, Creator of Yisra’ĕl, your Sovereign.” Thus said יהוה, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters,” Yeshayah (Isaiah) 43:15-16 My guest this week is Jonathan Kaufman of Napa, California. Jonathan is newly engaged (Congratulations, Jonathan and Anna!!) and he finally had a chance to sit down and tell me his story. It’s an incredible story, full of...

I just had to give a tiny glimpse of my opinion on prophecy. This is definitely NOT all-inclusive.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

If you get offended by women talking about undergarments, THIS IS NOT THE EPISODE FOR YOU. You have been forewarned. Denise and I discuss the problem of wearing all linen but having no choice about what to wear underneath.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

My guest this week is Denise Narmore of Northern California. Denise told me her coming-to-Torah story, but most of our conversation was actually about other things; first, her recent divorce, and second, our shared love of all things LINEN and how the making of linen mirrors our Christian walk. We also talk about some of the weird projects we get into sometimes, and LISTENING to the still, small v...

The purpose of this podcast is to tell the stories of those followers of the Messiah who have discovered the truth and applicability of the whole word of God. We have come to understand that Jesus — also known by His Hebrew name, Yeshua — was not kidding when He said in Matthew 5 that He did NOT come to do away with the Law of God, or the Torah. We have come to know exactly what the Apostle Paul w...

This is episode 20, an interview with Mark and Cheri Olson of Northern California. Cheri was the sister who introduced me to the concept of keeping the Sabbath according to what was actually written in the Scriptures, and she and Mark have become some of our very closest friends. I cannot express how much I love and value these people. Mark and Cheri are funny and can be rather irreverent, and our...

This is an interview with Mark and Lorrie Bell, a retired federal attorney and retired psychiatric nurse. I sat down with the Bells outdoors at the Feast of Shavuot celebration at Safe Haven Sustainable Farm in Orosi, CA, so you’ll hear all kinds of stuff going on in the background.  Mark came out of the Mormon Church, where he was a high priest and father of 11 children. Lorrie was part of the La...

El & Lisa on SDA Church involvement: Excellent training, not enough DOING.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

Apparently their controversial views on the Biblical Feasts and the book of Colossians put El & Lisa squarely in the sights of the denominational bigwigs. This led to a good deal of drama.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

Lisa talks about how God spared the Silvas from responding inappropriately to a sermon, and how a church member responded after said sermon.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

Elwood (El) and Lisa Silva have a wonderfully dramatic story to tell about their adventuresome discovery of the Biblical Feasts and their exit from the Seventh Day Adventist denomination. Some parts of their story that didn't make it into this episode will be available as bonus clips, but please don't miss them! El and Lisa talk about how they made their rather conspicuous entrance into...

So much great stuff from my conversation with Dawn and April, I just couldn't resist another bonus clip. We had a lively discussion on the Narrow Way and what exactly is it that makes us "set apart"; also what we would change about this walk.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

This is a snippet of conversation from my conversation with Dawn and April. Well, admittedly it's mostly just me holding forth, but we do discuss traditions in the context of the Bible. Turns out, probably not every single thing that ever happened got put into the Bible.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show

Ok, this was funny, and I laughed WAY too much. It's obnoxious but I can't change it now. :) Dawn talks about her favorite parsha...Metzorah, the leper.  Send us Fan Mail Support the show
