Genesis 40 is a key chapter because we see a shift in Joseph. Up until this point it seemed like everything was about him. Favorite son. Favorite son from the favorite wife. Special coat. Special dreams. But here we read about Joseph turning the attention to God and acknowledging he is part of something bigger than himself!

The story of Judah and Tamar seems randomly inserted into Joseph's story but God placed it there with great intentionality! We have much to learn from this complex chapter, join Pastor Klarc and Jody as they breakdown Genesis 38.

Genesis 11 is a foundational chapter in the Bible because this is when humanity structurally and organizationally sets itself up against God. From Babel comes the wicked empires of Egypt, Assyria, Babylon etc. Yet even in the midst of humanity's evil Genesis 11 ends with God's grace and faithfulness coming to a pagan named Abram.

In the aftermath of the flood, God began to rebuild and repopulate the earth. When left up to their own choice humanity takes whereas God is a God of life and generosity.

Genesis 6 brings up many legitimate questions: Who are the Nephilim? Can God change his mind? Is God really loving after bringing about the flood? So many question, let's dive in!

Genesis 4 is the first chapter post-fall. How are things going now that humans are on their own calling their own shots? Not well! Murder, envy, polygamy - an absolute train wreck! But despite humanity's brokenness the chapter ends with a hint of God's faithfulness.

Genesis 2 zooms in on the intimate relationship God has with his people. God "commanded" and spoke creation into being whereas God "made" Adam and Eve. Catch the difference?
