Daniel 12 ...a passage all about the end, and the comfort of knowing the hope that comes from the one who is king of the end of history.

Our God is in charge of this whole world - of all we see, and all we can't see as well. We'll hear the wonderful news that Jesus came into our world and defeated Satan and powers of evil by his death and resurrection.

Daniel prays for the restoration of Jerusalem. He's an old man now, but he realises Babylon is not his home, and yearns for something better. We also can yearn for something better!

Daniel chapter 8. It contains a vision that appalled Daniel himself... a terrifying picture of the future for God's people! And today across the world, and even here in Sydney, God's people face opposition. But it is a passage gives us God's perspective on all these goings on, and drives us towards confidence and hope.

There is great comfort and strength in knowing how the last hour of this world will play out. No, it is not in us to know this, but by his grace God’s word unveils the last hour (7.28) ‘the end of the matter’!

Daniel 6 - the famous chapter of Daniel in the Lion’s den. And ice again we will see testimony that our God is king! And in the most spectacular way. The Persian king makes an unbreakable law leading to the death of God’s man (Daniel). But God is able to overturn what is unbreakable (death!)
