Mark Romano joins for the hour. He's a longtime firearms expert. He's also a World Champion Single Action Shooting Society winner as well as capturing other SASS accolades. He also has gone to Europe to put on clinics for European shooters. He's also competed in European shooting competitions. He also co-hosts a radio show on Los Angelos radio about shooting and firearms.

The guy Hollywood calls when they need a train--Jim Clark is our guest. He is a consultant, an engineer for steam and diesel locomotives and an all-around expert on those monsters of the rail!

Western Writers of America author Doug Hocking joins us for Movie Saturday and our look at train movies. Doug has written bunches of books about train robberies in Southern Arizona. We apologize for the less-than-usual sound as an important piece of equipment was forgotten for this episode. But, the show must go on!

Cowboy Craig Cameron joins us for the hour. He's a rancher, member of the Cowboy Hall of Fame, author and teacher of horse sense. He actually teaches people how to correctly interact with their horses. Craig also hosts a show on RFD-TV called Ride Smart . If you are looking for anything about horses, Craig is your go-to-guy. For this month's Movie Saturday, we visit the westerns made from Zane Grey books. There were bunches of them and many films were remade a couple of times. Also, tons of stars got their start with Grey westerns--Gary Cooper and Randolph Scott are among them. Also Tim Holt.

Leslie Hall joins us for the hour to talk about her great uncle, Nick C. Hall. He's the guy who was instrumental is bringing Hollywood to Tucson and building Old Tucson in 1940. Nick was the manager of the long-gone Santa Rita Hotel in Tucson where the stars stayed. There will soon be a dedication of a building in Nick's memory.

It's our Movie Saturday show! On this edition, we talk about the Westerns filmed in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. It's a big area and a lot of films were made there--westerns and other genres. Plus, we have movie suggestions from our friends at Western Writers of America.

American Western artist William Herbert "Buck" Dunton is our topic. He lived from 1878-1936 and was known for his detail in animals.

Our guest is Banjo the Blacksmith. He practices his trade at Knott's Berry Farm in California, and, he does his smithing they way it was done in the 1880s.

Jaye Wells joins us. He's with the Rillito Park Foundation , which was established to help preserve and protect the historic Rillito Race Track in Tucson. It's the place where Rukin Jelks and partners developed Quarter Horse racing. It's also the place that established the photo finish camera. Fascinating history!

Screenwriter Skip Press joins us for our Movie Saturday program. Skip has written numerous screenplays as well as authored a number of books, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Screenwriting . Photographer Kris Kristoffersen joins us to talk about his photographic journey across America. His website captures Americana Photographer Kris Kristoffersen similiar to Ansel Adams. His portfolio includes the West, the South, Nevada and California.

Trick roper and cowboy comedian Bud Edgar joins us from Alberta, Canada. Bud hails from Calgary--home of the Calgary Stampede. He's been an entertainer since 1983 and has performed throughout Canada.

Western Writers of America author Michael F. Blake joins us to talk about the great cavalry movies. He knows the subject quite well. He has a book coming out in early 2024 about the John Ford Cavalry Trilogy series. Plus, we talk about some cavalry movies that might be under your radar but are certainly worth viewing.

It's our Christmas show. History, traditions and movies about cowboys and Christmas.

Joining us for the hour is Robert Redfeather. He's an actor and producer of Native American films and he teaches knife fighting. He has taught U.S. military members the art of knife fighting. He is also a Grand Master in martial arts and a member of the Martial Arts History Museum.

D.T. Christiansen joins us. He's the editor of a website called oldwest.org. The website features bunches of topics related to the Old West. People can also sign up for a weekly newsletter about This Day in Old West History.

Actor Peter Billingsley joins us to kick off the Christmas season! You'll remember him as "Ralphie" from "A Christmas Story" that also starred Darren McGavin. Ralphie is the guy who wanted a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas and finally got one! Peter has gone to appear in a number of films and also working behind the camera as a director and a producer.

Filmmaker Craig Rullman joins us. He's the director of a film called "The Outside Circle: A Movie of the Modern West." It's a collection of interviews with cowboys about their work, their ethic and their lives. Soon to be available on Amazon Prime TV and Tubi TV. Check your local listings.

Joining us is author Victoria Jackson. She's the author of Beyond the West: Stories of the Dying Art of Cowboying . It's a collection of 22 stories of cowboys working on the range. Victoria worked with the cowboys she's profiled in her book, which is available here .
