Author Jane Little Botkin joins us for the hour. She's a member of Western Writers of America and has written a number of award winning books. Dana Kerns joins us for the hour. He heads up Double Rafter Cattle Drives. It's a business that offers guests an opportunity to participate in a cattle drive just like in the 1880s. In 1889 a range war broke out between ranchers and settlers. It was over land and its use. It was called the Johnson County War. The war was finally settled in 1893 after President Harrison sent in the U.S. Cavalry. It's interesting history to know!

For this month's Movie Saturday program, we highlight the career of character actor Edgar Buchanan. He appeared in more than 90 movies and 70 television programs. Edgar was trained in dentistry before taking up acting.

This program is dedicated to the memory of stuntman and actor Jack Lilley. He passed away in March at 91 years old. Jack worked on a number of westerns and he was the supplier of livestock for the Hollywood studios. It's the story of three girls who escape a prison train. Eileen is married to Jerry "Geronimo" Martin--a great grandson of Geronimo--who contributed to the book.

We paid a visit to Tombstone on Friday, March 14th, to check out the Tombstone Book Festival. Lots of Western authors were there as well as a lot of visitors to the Festival and the Town to Tough to Die. We caught up with authors Bill Markley and Doug Hocking. Also at the event was Longmire author Craig Johnson and show favorite Jerry "Geronimo" Martin.

Stuart Rosebrook, executive director of the Sharlot M. Hall Museum in Prescott is our guest. Sharlot came to Ariona in the late 1870s and took a shine to the Arizona Territory. She was an activist, a politician and the first woman to hold an office in the Territorial government. She was one of the proponents of statehood for Arizona.

Noessa Higa joins us to talk about her documentary film, " Man in the Can ." She chronicles the life of a rodeo clown who is working in the lesser known rodeos and is trying to make it to the big time. Fascinating story!

Cowboy Code films and the Code itself is the topic of the Movie Saturday that streamed live from the White Stallion Ranch near Tucson.
