We celebrated  13-years as a church  and our brother Pastor Blake Wilson preached an amazing message from Acts 5:12-16 titled  The Perfect Church . He challenged us to make sure that we have both word AND works to which puts our faith in action. 

Pastor Sean preached a wonderful message reminding us that  praise and proclamation  leads to salvation from Psalm 145. It was a great reminder of why we should worship God of who He is and not just for what we can get from Him.

We need to be loving while holding to a biblical sexual ethic and we need to be intentional about not highlighting homosexuality while giving a "pass" to heterosexual sin. God calls ALL to repentance and He desires that all regardless of sexuality would trust Him because the goal isn't to be straight, because sexuality doesn't save, but to be redeemed, which is something only He can do!

Jude has two main concerns—that we do not drift and that we are not be led astray by false teachers. He prays that they (recipients of his letter) will instead take the initiative and  contend for the faith . Thought Tattoo: God preserves us in faith and propels us to fight.  Jude is going to tell us in two verses that we’re called, loved, and kept and that he wants mercy, love, and peace to be multiplied to his recipients and us because when it looks and feels like you’re losing you need to know that despite what it looks like, you and I win because He won!

The book of James teaches us that our joy does not come from a lack of suffering; we can find joy in our trials. Pastor Sean Bynum reminds us that joy is not circumstantial; joy is found in Christ. We can consider it a great joy to suffer trials when we focus on: righteousness, encouragement, availability, and love.
