Visceral Reflections

The NoonCast is a retelling of recent conversations on faith issues.  These are intended to be short and provide some perspective on a topic that came up during daily encounters.  Today is the first NoonCast on the topic of biblical self-care. 

In this episode, we further define all the religious worldviews and provide some reasons why the Christian Worldview is strong and provides a complete understanding of the world, how we experience the world, the governing laws of the world and a brief discussion on the transcendental aspects of life. 

In this sidebar discussion, we discuss the Christian Worldview, faith, doubt and spiritual wisdom over worldly wisdom.  Acts 17 and 1Corinthians 2 are used to draw out these principles. 

Sharing ways to study scripture, have time with God, do biblical studies, available bible tools, and suggestions for reading daily according to your level of spiritual maturity.  Also begin this episode with some of the reasons that we study scripture from growing in our relationship with God, grow in holiness, and becoming good swordsman. 

12/29/2021 (48 Minutes) This is the Round-up episode to answer questions, correct misstatements and provide clarity on various topics in previous episodes.  This particular Round-up is largely on The Love of God from the previous two episodes #15 and #16. 

12/13/2021 (84 Minutes) This is intended to provide clarity on topics in part one of the Love of God in Daily Life, as well as a short commentary on the conversation of joy vs. happiness, kindness vs. niceness and our encounter with the love of God through our spiritual disciplines.  In addition, some commentary on John 17, Jesus' High Priestly prayer and the ultimate promise of John 17:26.

A broad overview of the love of God.  This episode explores how to love God will all our heart, soul, mind and strength, how to remove barriers to faith, and how to move from responsibility to response. Also a brief talk on loving God when darkness falls on our lives.

This is a look at our identity in the marketplace, in kingdom building and a heart check on our priorities. 

Building on the propositions of our faith, now discuss our identity in Christ.  As introduction to the topic of identity, we are looking at what scripture says about us and how our eternal identity helps us understand our stories better. 

Discussing the position that faith is propositional and that Christianity is composed of a group of truth claims that make up our faith.

The Tapestry of God is a discussion on how God is weaving our lives together for an eternal purpose.  Every person we encounter is an engagement for the benefit of one or both on our faith journeys.  Whether it is a brief encounter in our day or the beginning or building of a relationship, we need to train ourselves to see the purpose of God in those engagements!
