In week three of our series on The Holy Spirit, we will learn about the infilling or baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer for works of service. We will explore why it is important to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and how it enables us to minister love, grace, and healing to a hurting world.

When isolated and alone, we tend to drift away from God, and that is why Jesus established the Church and placed us in it. The Local Church is a greenhouse, a spiritual family whose role is to help us grow up and mature as an Everyday Disciple. Belief of faith is the foundation of our lives. The question is, belief in what and faith in whom? The Christian life isn’t about saying yes to Jesus once but saying yes to Him repeatedly, in every step and every season. He wants to speak to us but doesn’t yell or scream. Jesus shows us infinitely more as we learn to listen, trust and obey Him.

God set the stars in the sky and put the sun and moon in their place. He created everything on Earth for us to enjoy and yet still beckons further towards more than we could ask for or imagine, infinitely more. We can’t see His Plan without His perspective and embracing our role as caretakers or stewards of all He puts in our hands.
